In The Canopy est un groupe parisien d’Art Rock formé en 2011.

Les cinq canopiens développent une esthétique rock puissante et mélodique. 

Les rythmiques asymétriques et les harmonies vocales sont leur terrain de jeu, la syncope et les demi-soupirs leur matériau. 

Après un premier album live en 2011, In The Canopy a sorti son premier EP le 18 décembre 2012. 

En vue… la cime des arbres.
 
Fort de son expérience d’une trentaine de dates depuis 2011, In The Canopy livre un concert intense 
et charismatique, en duo ou quartet. Les quatre musiciens s’expriment pleinement sur scène et partagent 
avec le public une palette émotionnelle riche et aérienne.

"I'm just a little guy, you make me feel so big"
 
I am a sham was the first reason why I’ve decided to hide myself behind a band, a collective when this project was launched. There was my inability to assume a direction, a line, as well as a kind of modesty not to point that all of this work was/is personal. There were also all these lives I lived, these experiences I went through, we all go through. All of this pointed the idea to stay behind a « we ».

Through The Crack was an introduction, this little rift we all have and through we could let others discover who we are. Songs of Light & Darkness is its sequel. Though we wrote and composed its track while we were working on our first EP, we chose to produce the sounds of it after the release of our 1st music video. In order to catch the state of mind we were in, to be in coherence with whom we were during this period. We are pretty sure this is the reason why Songs of Light & Darkness is more accessible than its predecessor. And it fits perfectly with the story we want to tell. 
As you could read, the « We » is still here and it will remain. We Are The Line could not exist if there was only me. Even if I totally assume the reasons and the direction of it all, my inner wars, doubts, fears, choices, influences, I keep thinking that we all have this kind of questions, the We remains.

Thanks to all these precious ones helping me to deliver this mess, to be a part of this journey.
