New release from the label "Le Temps Perdu". STATUE is a mysterious percussion-based structure erected by Tom Gould.  With origins behind a drum kit laying down the foundations in cult Melbourne bands "NO ZU" and "World’s End Press", STATUE has become an evolving stand-alone project. 
Commissioned by Le "Temps Perdu", "Solidify" delves further into the hypnotic percussive groove of STATUE. With its feet firmly fixed on the dance floor "Solidify" manages to cover a lot of ground. With left of center remixes by "Zombies in Miami" and Christian S, this EP redefines the space, which STATUE occupies.

Eclectic Mexican Calypso Records keep up their impressive early momentum with another vital EP from Kolago Kult that comes with TYU and Colossio remixes. Kolago Kult is an irregular party and DJ/VJ/production collective based in London. Formerly known as Tales of Voodoo, they transcend musical genres and serve up anything from disco to afrobeat to psyched-out weirdness. 
Our pick up from EP is the freaky ‘Sangoma’ which may be dedicated to a one very famous telephone company, or maybe dedicated to some very unknown black magic ritual, but sets the mood for the ceremony with tribal drums and ancient chants. This Album, a child of the Shelter Me Festival in December 2020, is in Aid of Shelter UK and the
wonderful work they do to helping people with homelessness or difficult housing conditions.
The Festival took place over 3 days, across the 3 cities of Manchester, London and Leeds, and
several of the artists who performed live at the event have contributed to this production too.
The track used for the project is entitled Shake Up Your Mind by Steady State which contains a
vocal sample of Ofra Haza from her song entitled Im Nin Alu. All remixes were created with the
greatest love and respect, with one common goal, to help others less fortunate than ourselves
through music, unity and genuine will to make a positive change.
Each and every one of the artists, producers and mastering services have generously given their
time freely to create a unique album of 21 remixes, spanning a colourful musical spectrum from
Dense Dark Dubbiness, through Timeless Techno and Uplifting Acid, to Squelchy Squalid
Chuggers.
This is a limited release set for 05.03.21 with all proceeds going the Shelter Uk.
All of us at Shelter Me would like to thank everyone who has helped, supported and contributed
along the way.
