Hailing from France, Darj presents a selection of murky, organic, and heavyweight tunes with definite middle eastern flavor and dub influence.  The title track, Ka'Andirah, is full of ethnic percussion and starts with a dreary soundscape highlighted by a reverberant middle eastern style vocal that transports the listener to an ancient past.  Substantial bass, and dynamic rhythms give the sound system a workout pushing you into the future.  Red Crypt continues with the ancient vibe, but adds a relentless sub-bass to keep the dance moving.  Envenom & Seamless Whole push the listener even further into the deep, dark depths of Darj's production.  Finally, Vesta rounds off the EP with consistent half-time kicks placed in a sparse sonic soundscape.  Remix of the title track by @Deafblind.

In the year 2015 the name Quaed will not only be known from a certain Sci Fi picture but also in today’s modern Drum & Bass scene.  Having just come off the back of a great release with Stealth, titled, The Passenger on Program, we thought we would snap up a single from this new talent in the form of R.E.M / The Law.

R.E.M, otherwise known as Rapid Eye Movement, is a masterpiece conjured up from Quaed’s subconscious mind. Kicking things off with a pallet of dreamy sounds in the intro, R.E.M gradually manifests into a dark little number with its intense break down of mid bass followed up with an eerie drop, which leads to a wave of devastating drums, subs and synthesized keys…Sweet dreams!  

The flip is ‘The Law’ according to Quaed. Vocal stabs accompany what only can be described as lush pads in the intro. As the beats start to filter in we are left with a superb drop of oozing bass, snappy & tight drums with an all round quality vibe!

Following the hugely successful debut of our ‘Dispatch Dubplate’ label, with the first two vinyl releases selling out across all stores, we're proud to welcome #3 in the series, led predominantly by label favourite DLR. Much like the previous Dubplates, each vinyl will showcase a thicker set 180 grams in weight, hand numbered (1 – 300), hand-stamped, signed, with an added label sticker pack with all 300; never to be re-pressed.

Setting off the release, we're pleased to release our most in-demand dub from the past year; the mighty Break & DLR rework everyone has waited for – “Murmur VIP”. With the original first appearing in 2012 on Octane & DLR's “Method In The Madness” album, the Break & DLR VIP has revitalized the initial buzz of an already popular track, in spectacular fashion. Causing havoc on dancefloors worldwide, it has already seen heavy rotational support by Friction on his BBC Radio 1 show (with 6 plays on the show in total to date).

In addition, we present a new, original track from DLR; the immaculately detailed “Regeneration”. This drops us right back to the late 90s with a cosmic vibe that pays homage to the Virus / Konflict era, brought right up to date. Although delivered in a superbly tight, modern construct, it never loses its old school essence and authenticity. This release features two versions of the track, the “Generated Mix” is exclusive to the vinyl format, whilst the gnarly “Metamorphosis Mix” also features as a digital only bonus, both offering a very different take on a track that (in its original form) was never planned or set to surface, so we felt it fitting for this to appear on the Dispatch Dubplate label.

Completing the Dubplate comes the second re-work of the release, as “Tugboat” receives the remix treatment, with “The Moneyshot VIP” appearing on both vinyl and digital formats. A new take on DLR’s solo Dispatch single from 2013, the VIP is nothing short of a huge re-work and a complete re-invention of the original, taking a much more stepping dance floor approach from start to finish.

This release features a vinyl only track “Regeneration (Generated Mix)”. This will not be available in digital format at all. Vinyl buyers will be able to download all the other tracks, however this dubplate exclusive mix will never be available in any other format.

Each vinyl purchase will receive free 320kbps mp3 & wav files of all the available digital tracks. These will only become available to download on the Friday before general release and no sooner – this is the 20th of March as general release date is the 23rd March.

‘The Frog' unites Fuj & Cirrus for a snapping, driving underground anthem which lets you know exactly what these artists are about. Lumbering but never once losing impact, it's littered with nastily distorted LFO and grinding beat patterns. Not for the faint hearted, Fuj & Cirrus don't disappoint. Cirrus comes next with ‘Ether', again bringing the edgier, grunting sounds present throughout its predecessor, while utilising vocal samples to take you through the drops. The pace is then increased, switching between layers and giving no hope of pulling yourself out of its construction line of snipping drums and lasers.

Fuj offers up next, with climatic, quaking sub bass and smashing kick throughout ‘Gun of a Son'. Its percussion and crashing breaks are intimidating, killing any commercial vibes in the vicinity. Rounding off the EP is ‘Aphotic Zone'; Cirrus jumps on remix duties for Fuj this time, once again integrating their production might and creating a towering concoction of creepy atmospherics and wavering voice notes.

Fuj and Cirrus are not to be underestimated. Between them they're invading the underground and moving towards the big leagues.
