The Depth Of Vision EP series has thus far offered an incisive look through the http://soundcloud.com/automate-dnb vaults at some of their exceptional breakthrough artists.  This latest chapter aims to showcase two sides of a stylistic coin, placing old-school vibe-led pieces directly alongside punchy modern productions, demonstrating that it takes all sorts to feed a healthy scene.

http://soundcloud.com/phonograph opens the EP with New Horizon: a thoroughly modern, hard-hitting, swaggering masterclass in groove and grunt.  The killer combination of funk and weight will win this track a place in many a record bag.

http://soundcloud.com/ewokdj may not have been seen in public since AM8E006 but has been working solidly with the AutomAte crew behind the scenes.  Heavy Armour delivers a compatible vibe with his previous solo efforts for the label, rescued from deep in the techy, dark traditions of old school DnB.

http://soundcloud.com/sl8r-dnb ’s offering Conflict is a more contemporary, head-nodding, foot-tapping groove.  Equally at home on the headphones or in the dance, there is a spring in its step that belies its simplicity.

Hungarian newcomer http://soundcloud.com/them3chanikal draws this chapter to a close with a light & energetic techy roller.  Back Of Beyond offers plenty of pace and, rather than an ending, leaves the series feeling wide open for the next instalment.

Vesela, mračna i mlada skupina koja dolazi iz Čepina, Osijeka i Požege. Sačinjavaju ih Kangfu, Sky, Otpor, a odnedavno i Mance; četiri DNB brata. Postoje preko godinu dana pod ovim imenom. Crew se malo mjenjao, ali sada su jači nego ikada. Uz to imaju i veliku dnb obitelj diljem Slavonije, koja im pomaže u radu. Njihov stil i selekcija idu daleko. Od mračnog dubstepa, halftimea-a do laganog minimala i sve bržeg i mračnijeg rolla, techstepa, te starijeg neura. Eksperti za sve sto je mračno i popraćeno dobrim bubnjevima. Drže do starog, dobrog, underground zvuka i to im trenutno daje najviše inspiracije. Ništa drugo osim toga ih ne zanima. Trenutno iza sebe imaju velik broj nastupa po Slavoniji, ove godine i prva dva festivala; Membrain festival u Šibeniku, te Strobolobodobolos u Đakovu  gdje su ostvarili mnoštvo novih poznanstava. Dnb im je najveca ljubav i opsesija i to ce ih voditi u daljnjem radu. 

 Jolly, dark and young group of people that come from Čepin, Osijek and Požega. This group is constituted by Kangfu, Sky, Otpor, and, recently, Mance; the four DNB brothers. They have been in existence for over a year under this name. The original crew has been changed a bit since the beginning, but now they are stronger than ever. In addition, they have a great family throughout the whole Slavonija which helps them in their work. Their style and selection range from dark dubstep, through halftime, to light minimal, also including faster and darker roll, techstep and earlier neuro. They are experts on everything that’s dark and accompanied by a good drum roll. They care about the good, old underground sound which gives them the most inspiration at the moment, and they aren’t interested in anything but that. They have a great number of shows behind them around all of Slavonija, and, from this year, their first two festival shows; Membrain festival in Šibenik and Strobolobodobolos in Đakovo where they made a lot of new acquaintances. Dnb is their tremendous love and obsession and that will lead them in their further work.

We share a mutual love of dark, techy drum & bass, although we are involved with a range of other bass-led genres. We DJ and write music individually and together. The Deep label aims to put the warmth back into drum & bass with a range of deep, eclectic, inspirational music, influenced by anything from the Far East to South America and everything in between. AutomAte Deep was launched in 2013 and has already picked up Radio 1 airplay from Nihal plus support from Raiden, EBK, Morphy, The Untouchables, Mental Forces, J Robinson, Ortokore, Philth, Stunna, Marukomu, Dexta & Mauoq (Diffrent Music).

The Tech label showcases a variety of gritty drum & bass music, from amen tracks and heavy-steppers to neuro and hardcore styles. We like it grimy with a slight attitude problem and an infectious groove.
