His heady mix of distorted filth & saturated breakbeats is the fuel behind a meteoric rise, turning the heads of the scene’s top DJs and talent spotters.  Paired here with regular cohorts, AutomAte’s resident zombie wordsmith Agman Gora and long-time partner Wreckless, this trio of nuclear cuts is aimed directly at the techy dancefloors.

Submarine has already left a trail of destruction in its wake, running deep beneath the surface of a monstrous throbbing body of bass. This steppin’ VIP of the stripped-back, essential roller is set to become a firm favourite of the AutomAte catalogue all over again.

The Hammer brings us back to dry land and delivers an altogether more highly-strung vibe as Philth & Wreckless take their signature sound up to 11 with pounding bass, relentless running breaks and crashing metallics.

Finally, another second hotly awaited remix, Cordyceps VIP, rounds off the release - driving Agman’s commanding vocal chant deeper into your brain, embedded on wave after wave of bassline pressure and rapid percussion.

emplate first heard the sounds of Jungle/Drum & Bass in the summer of '96 and was instantly enchanted. A drummer, and heavily influenced by hip hop, metal, industrial, classical and jazz; emplate believes drum and bass embodies everything he had been listening to and loved before it.

In '99 he knew that listening was not enough. He needed more than mixtapes and parties to get his fix. Inspired by the DJs around him and his love for DnB, he dedicated himself to seeking knowledge, selection and skill. emplate soon became respected both technically and for his sets that interweave neurofunk and darker, minimal DNB tunes that are often peppered with liquid dancefloor tracks if the mood is right.

In 2006, emplate became a resident DJ at the former weekly and nationally recognized DnB event "in:verse". Always interested in moving the scene forward, emplate helped develop The Cleveland Drum n Bass Coalition and (216)BASS, both local platforms that Northeast Ohio DnB heads used as a vehicle to further their careers. In August of 2014, emplate joined up with Rockers Music. Excited about having a DnB label out of Cleveland, emplate spearheaded the local launch of the Rockers 175 label with the “Step Inside” & "Kismet" monthly events held at the Beachland Ballroom, bringing in names such as: Lenzman, Doc Scott, Total Science, Zero T, The Prototypes, Crissy Criss, DJ SS, Aphrodite, Dara, AK1200, Dieselboy & more. After stepping away from the label & the turbulent life of event promotions, he focused on being the best DJ he could be...taking his mixing to new levels & determined to prove that he's underrated, not only in his hometown & state, but the U.S. as a whole.

For two decades, emplate has been known for his diverse selection of up to date releases, promos & unreleased tracks & plays accordingly to timeslot, crowd & vibe.

I grew up around Southampton/Portsmouth on a diet of Madness, hip-hop, metal and dnb. I've been DJing since 2002 and producing since 2010. I've lived in London since 2005. I've played various venues round London, Bristol, Southampton & Portsmouth including Hidden, Rhythm Factory, Basement 45, Timbuk2, Blue Mountain and The Registry and I've held down radio shows on Rude FM, Flex FM, Origin FM and Intense Radio. The Tech label showcases a variety of gritty drum & bass music, from amen tracks and heavy-steppers to neuro and hardcore styles. We like it grimy with a slight attitude problem and an infectious groove. Supporters include DJ Hype, Bailey, Kenny Ken, Dose, Raiden, Nu:Tone, EBK, June Miller, Inside Info, Gremlinz, Stranjah, Chris Su, Zero-T, Nyx, Amoss, NC-17, Fade, The Risky (Drum & Bass Arena), Billion (Fathom Audio), Arclight, John Rolodex, Phil Hustle, Hyroglifics, Neve, Concrete, Bad Education, Cursa, AbleDanger and more.
