The very definition of ‘signature sound’, his heady mix of distorted filth & saturated breakbeats is the fuel behind a meteoric rise, turning the heads of the scene’s top DJs and talent spotters.

As one would expect given the track titles, neither tune beats about the bush.  The menacing, rumbling intro of Destroyer leads directly to philthy overdriven bass rips before dropping into a stomping, claustrophobic rhythm with which even the most nimble of foot will struggle to keep pace.

Genocide presents a slightly friendlier façade for all of 40 seconds before again taking a snarling turn darkwards, this time into a tearing, swaggering stepper. If, as the sample suggests, this is the future of the human race, a stab-proof vest may be a wise investment.

This is one part glitch, one part neuro and one part mechanical stepper; there’s a dank, malevolent force at work here but somehow not taken too seriously.

Inseparable German duo Rune & Kaiza, aka Instinkt, deliver a trademark solo effort backed with a collaboration with fellow countrymen Audio Habitat and hot-right-now MC Kryptomedic.

Kabuki is the more rolling of the two.  A precise, robotic technoid groove bringing to mind an android army marching heads-down into a black hole.  There is no escape from the hypnotic rhythm as we are pulled over the event horizon.

Gasket features a veritable German dream-team with the combined musical talents of Instinkt & Audio Habitat and the vocal prowess of Eatbrain’s MC Kryptomedic.  Snarling basses and full-bodied drums underpin Krypto’s relentless social commentary.

We have arrived at lovecast #50 and we are delighted that it comes from someone special from the inner Love Family. @Gizmuss is a passionate music selector based in Berlin who grew up listening to world music vinyls. Music has always been a massive part of her life and heart and since last year she put her heart into bringing her sound to people.

Since last year Giz is a vital part of our Berlin Hub. Before joining the Love Family she also released a much loved set with our friends from @Kybelean, and shortly after another via the Gedankenklang family. We are all excited to see her next steps as a musician in 2018 and if you like the magical hour of music that she creates for us, then we recommend to see her in persona in Rummelsbucht on 24.03 or at our 5 year anniversary party on 13.04 in Rosies Berlin. If not in Berlin, catch her touring Brussels, Paris, Tulum, Mexico City and Istanbul this year. Intricate Records announces the start of a new sublabel, Intricate Cuts, in May 2013. Intricate Cuts will be a source of deep and tech house releases for the «elder brother» Intricate Records. The initial single, «Lilu» by Moscow-based producer Andrey Poison Pro, will include the original version as well as remixes by Marc Moan и Andre Sobota.

The right to cut the red ribbon of Intricate Records’ new department was offered to Poison Pro, the descendant of “peaceful atom city”. Last year Andrey was already featured on the main label – he did a remarkable remix of «Freedom», a collaboration track by Alexey Sonar and Jan Jonston. Today Poison Pro is an electronic dance music producer, DJ and sound engineer, participant of a joint project with the vocalist Miusha. He presents his own latest production, «Lilu» - a romantic but very dancefloor-friendly ballad with a soft French accent; at some stages it even reminds of the melodies from old Soviet animation movies. Andrey Markevich – better known on the music scene as Marc Moan – is a producer from Rostov-on-Don, his works are full of rare «moving tenderness». Marc’s music, dynamic and melancholic at once, never leaves the listeners untouched, especially those seeking not just movement but a way into the emotional depths. Marc Moan’s traditional creative views have found a reflection in his remix, the sound can be described as deep perception of the world, ideas and thoughts depicted after listening to the original version of «Lilu». The second remix was made by the Brazilian producer Andre Sobota. His eclectic releases with a weighted, extra-hardened beat and luxurious synths are praised on a regular basis by the scene leaders including Above & Beyond, Sasha, Dubfire, Eric Prydz and Markus Schulz. Now Andre’s signature sound is also a part of Intricate Cuts repertoire and catalogue.

We share a mutual love of dark, techy drum & bass, although we are involved with a range of other bass-led genres. We DJ and write music individually and together. We run the AutomAte family of digital labels, including AutomAte, AutomAte Deep and AutomAte Tech. The Tech label showcases a variety of gritty drum & bass music, from amen tracks and heavy-steppers to neuro and hardcore styles. We like it grimy with a slight attitude problem and an infectious groove.
