Eats Everything makes his much-anticipated Edible label debut with the ‘Girl Powder’ EP, his first release since January of this year, and the first to land on his own imprint.  Comprising two new tracks, ‘Rita’s E’ and ‘Veronica Electronica’, the release will drop at the end of October on 10” vinyl and digital download.

2016 has already been a huge ride for the Bristolian DJ & producer extraordinaire; along with huge club cuts ‘The Duster’ (featuring Green Velvet) and ‘Big Discs’, remixes for Disclosure and Green Velvet (taking the classic ‘Flash’ track to dizzying new heights), Eats mixed the 86th edition of Fabric’s fabled compilation series back in February.

And as the Edible label edges towards its first anniversary, a slew of highly well received releases from the likes of Rhythm Masters, Jesse Perez, Lauren Lane, Lord Leopard and Brett Johnson, have established the imprint as a consistent force for quality house music.

With its infectious bassline, dubbed out keys and vocal call to arms, ‘Rita’s E’ find Eats on top form, carving out an energetic and funky club cut, whilst ‘Veronica Electronica’ gets deep, down and twisted with its duetting vocal delivery, hard hitting drums and rave-esque sirens.

Eats Everything’s ‘Girl Powder’ EP is available from 21st October on Edible.

The unrelenting force that is Hot Creations often acts as a breeding ground for raw talent. This next release does just that with four ‘Hot Jams’ from upcoming artists Lee Walker, Pete Dorling, Neil Parkes and Greeko.

First up, young producer Lee Walker from Middlesbrough makes his debut on Hot Creations delivering ‘That Little Ditty’, which takes hold with a deeply intoxicating bassline, prominent hi-hats and punchy stabs that build to a frenzied climax. Shooting onto the scene in 2015 with his off-the-cuff edit of DJ Deeon’s ‘Freak Like Me’, which played by the likes of Marco Carola, Dixon and Loco Dice, soon gained over 1 million hits on Youtube and was finally picked up by Defected Records.

Having featured on ‘Hot Summer Jams’ on the label back in 2014, Essex DJ and producer Pete Dorling is back with another killer track. ‘Manyana’ drives with a heavy bassline as tribal vocal cuts are played throughout. Other releases can be seen on the likes of VIVa Music, Resonance Productions and NoFitState.

Also appearing on the same ‘Hot Summer Jams’, Neil Parkes is back on board the label with ‘Peil Narkes.’ A swinging bassline sets the groundwork as layers of moody synths roll out over punchy hats. Since his first release on Metroline Limited, Neil has spread his wings releasing on labels such as MadTech, Leftroom Limited and Underground Audio.

Now one of dance music’s most respected DJs, Avalon Emerson first made a name for herself in the storied warehouse scene of her birthplace, San Francisco, before relocating to Berlin in 2013. Over a decade of performances at the famed Berghain led to appearances at numerous festivals around the world which all cemented Emerson, and her evocative, genre- and decade-spanning sets, as perennially in demand. 

In 2020, she released her first full-length collection: a contribution to the longrunning DJ-Kicks series (which Resident Advisor described as “The sound of a well-honed DJ at the top of her game.”), nestled alongside a steady stream of remix releases for the likes of Four Tet, Slowdive, Robyn and more.

Next up was 2023’s Avalon Emerson & The Charm, an instant classic which saw Emerson exploring her singing voice and more traditional songwriting outside of the boundaries of her dance music work.  Created after a move to New York, the resulting & The Charm album was released to critical acclaim, landing on numerous critics’ best-of-the-year lists.

The stage is now set, then, for her to carve out a wholly unique path, and with the help of new label home and indie giant, Dead Oceans, Emerson is poised to connect her various musical endeavors to create an untouchably rich output of material. First up is Perpetual Emotion Machine, consisting of songs created for her DJ sets, delivered via a living, evolving project and announced ahead of her worldwide tour.
