JG Outsider (@jg_outsider) is not a newcomer in Electronic music. This veteran producer from Murcia has a long career that began in the 90s with the management of the Pink Records label, and continued as half of the duo "2rare People", which achieved great success in the 2000s, being strongly supported by artists such as Oxia or Carl Cox. Today he uses this new alias to produce music halfway between the most acid Indie Dance, Industrial, sometimes entering the melodic field. In this EP for Banshees Records (@bansheesrecords) JG Outsider shows his darker side focusing on industrial sounds, accompanied by remixes by Argentinian Skelesys (@skelesys)and 9 claws.

Yarni announces his most ambitious project to date, "Anemoia," a ten-track album exploring the Greek concept of nostalgia for a time never known. The album sees the self-taught multi-instrumentalist collaborating with ten musicians and vocalists across ten tracks, weaving together disco, soul, jazz-funk, hip-hop, and trip-hop into a thoroughly modern tapestry.

The project has garnered significant BBC Radio support, with Romesh Ranganathan calling Yarni 'remarkable' and BBC 6 Music championing his work through Craig Charles and Stuart Maconie, who supported "Temperature's Rising" and "S.W.A.L.K," while Huey Morgan selected "Silent City" as his 'Beat of the Week.' Yarni (aka Benjamin Harris) continues to attract acclaim from influential voices, including Gilles Peterson ("lovely"), Luke Una ("a beautiful gift to the world"), and Deb Grant ("chef's kiss delicious"). His previous release "Boro" was featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds UK and Ireland as part of their Class of 2021 selection.

Central to "Anemoia's" success was Yarni's creation of an all-inclusive micro-community among collaborators. By fostering an environment free from the pressures of artists' own projects, he encouraged fearless experimentation. "I wanted to create a space where everyone could explore without boundaries," explains Yarni. "When artists feel completely supported, they push themselves further. The result is something none of us could have achieved alone.
Opening with the orchestral jazz-funk of "Neon Gods," the album journeys through "Temperature's Rising" (featuring Nathaniel Short and Yarni's first string quartet arrangement), the epic "S.W.A.L.K" with Scarlett Fae (bridging Fleetwood Mac, Cleo Sol & LCD Soundsystem), hip-hop fusion "Natural Light" (Franz Von and Jeff Darko), ethereal trip-hop "The Romantic Ghost" (Plumm), and concludes with Afrobeat-influenced "Nino."

Rather than a retro tribute, Yarni has crafted a forward-thinking album that reimagines funk, jazz, soul, and disco through a contemporary lens. "This isn't about recreating the past, but channeling its spirit into something new," he says. From string quartets to Brazilian percussion, "Anemoia" creates a musical world where past and present dance in perfect harmony.

Mîro and Îrfo AKA Mekîne Û Teksî, well known by their releases on Themes For Great Cities and Highlife and various reworks/remixes they have done, made their contribution to this charity project organized by Turkish, Istanbul based Müstesna Records.
Müstesna Records’ VA “shelTer” album with the contributions of 25 artists willing to provide financial support for creating national and international awareness about the trans murders and trans suicides in Turkey, where has the highest trans murder rate in Europe. Its income will be transferred to “Eylül Cansın Trans Guest House" which was founded by the Istanbul LGBTI Solidarity Association and named after Eylül Cansın, a transgender person who committed suicide January 2015, was accommodating 11 people almost all of whom have immigration experiences until its closure due to infrastructural and security reasons. Eylül Cansın Trans Guest House, which is in search of a new place, aims to move quickly and then to evolve into a system, with a policy that will strengthen its guests, in which anyone can live without a need of the guesthouse. The ”shelTer” album will generate income for the guesthouse to find a new home and a healthier environment after renting, repairing and so on. It also aims to raise national and international awareness that Trans murders and suicides are political.
German duo presents a perfect piece of giving goosebumps acid-alarmed poem "Fremde" what's exactly meaning is : "Far Abroad" which perfectly fits in their postanatolian cosmos. It is noteworthy that the vocal of the grandfather of one of the duo, kurdish chanting artist Seydo, was used posthumously in this track.
