We are very excited to share our fourteenth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series. This time we proudly present you : Luke Hess. 

Born in 1980 in Metro Detroit and subject to the city's mid-90's warehouse parties, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. 

His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance-floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood.

Luke's faith based music production landed him a seat with Omar S' FXHE label & Carl Craig's Planet-e label in Detroit. Hess has celebrated original productions and remix material on labels such as DeepLabs, FXHE, Planet-e, Motech, Beretta Grey, Echocord, Kontra-Music, Modelisme, Ornaments, Echocord Colour, & more. 

In 2009, Luke released his first album, "Light in the Dark" on Denmark-based record label, Echocord. "Light in the Dark" received glowing reviews and was hailed by many as one of the best deep techno albums of the year.

With 15 years of DJ experience and many notable LIVE sets across the world, Luke is regarded as a perfectionist on stage. Hess is known to layer his sets in a very detailed, hypnotic, & soulful manner. 
After playing many notable venues & festivals such as Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Berghain & Panorama Bar - Berlin, Fabric - London, Unit - Tokyo, Culture Box - Copenhagen, Bunker - NYC, Decibel Festival - Seattle, Basement - Hong Kong, etc., he is excited to continue exploring the world stage and introducing new and old fans to his raw & deep breed of Detroit techno.

Luke's continued hard work in the studio & behind the decks combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.

We have been following Luke since 2009 and are very happy to have him onboard for our Equilibrisme Podcast Series. Luke also contributed a track for our recent vinyl release “Kraken EP”.

When we asked Alessandro to be part of the series we already expected it to be of stellar quality but even that was a little too modest. The mix consists of hidden gems, old vinyl releases and even some previously unreleased works from a Japanese CD compilation, all packed together as a extended selection of sunny tunes, right on time for the beginning of your spring season.

Stately Podcast 05 - Alessandro Crimi

Electronic music specialist Andrea Cichecki is an artist inspired by sound. Born in the Netherlands with Polish roots, Andrea has had a lifelong fascination with emotion, human connection and how these intertwine with music and sound.

Her atmospheric music can be described as a dreamful sound collage, lifting us away into a flow of emotions. The musical intent is built on a landscape that sweeps from intense joy to melancholic emotion, a cinematic journey of life and memories. Andrea’s main inspiration is the inner peace found through connection with nature.

For over two decades, Andrea performs as a DJ across Europe. For seven years, she lived in Berlin where she was integral to the electronic music scene and a regular DJ playing in renowned clubs such as Club der Visionaere, Hoppetosse, Tresor and About Blank. After successful releases of her own music, she knew it was time to follow her dreams.

Achieving a diploma for her studies in ‘Music Production & Sound Engineering’ at the Abbey Road Institute helped her enrich her sound, expand her creative mind and build on her professionalism.

These days Andrea is in high demand as a music producer and audio engineer: composing, mixing, mastering as well as working at Castle Studios in the countryside, just outside Dresden.

The dialogic interaction has finally become available to all adepts of improvisation who can now drop by for a party, try all the gadgets and have plenty of music. This place is about to become another source of good energy, besides Orlan 19, so no particular persuasion is needed to get one to take a break from discussions on the origin of eukaryotes or trans-isomerism.

Lively performances will be held here with enviable regularity, marking the valuable coordinates on the celestial map. Tm Shuffle, who knows firsthand how to attract attention with jewellery compilations, has come to the opening. An expert delegation consisting of Federsen, Luke Hess and Markus Suckut helps him provide artistic images and shape the drama and the concept of sound collages.

He is the owner of Echocord, one of the most relevant dub techno labels, which has recently celebrated 20 years of activity. Since the late 1990s, Kenneth has frequently been spinning at Tresor in Berlin and other popular clubs across Europe.  His career in the genre dates back to his time spent working in record stores in the 1990s.
