Black and white tones remind me of minimalistic, powerful rhythms and vibrations that move through the body.

When I made the tracks and painted the artwork, I trusted my intuition. In my mind, I saw angular, square shapes that, in combination with strong contrasts, created an image of vibration. Something hypnotic and deeply resonant. 

I wanted to fuse deep bass atmospheres and the relentless momentum of techno. Creative, percussive and unmistakably dubby. Raw and distinctive soundscapes that wake you up and pull you in, with a vibe that’s full of energy yet never loses its punch. Every element is finely tuned to maintain that mystical, percussive groove: hypnotic, dubbed-out momentum.   

I've closed the EP with a cinematic outro that I hope conveys a deep an lingering intensity. Textures in slow motion puling you inward, shaping in your mind as you slowly dissolve into meditation.

MUADEEP has also honored me with a fresh and genre-bending jersey-perspective in his remix.

Enter the Great Dark Spot with this intergalactic ride by Berlin’s Gian. The associate of @lackrec is making his mark on the dance music world with highly impressive releases so far, all of which prove he’s got a special sound. Gian has multiple solo and collaborative EPs, most recently delivering four electro/techno heaters on 2019’s LACK 018. Next up, watch out for his remix for @djfrankie63 on @LawrenceLee's @SystemA7A label. You can catch the rising artist performing across Europe, particularly Germany, and hopefully on the west coast sooner than later. In the absence of careless vibey nights, the memories of dancing together are fading. Meeting friends feels like an expedition to a neighboring galaxy. In a time of the limits and isolation, music now more than ever is taking us places, carving a refuge, or spicing up our days.
Today we are happily premiering a dose of futuristic nostalgia presenting as a melodic, shimmering electro. Stitched together by electro-funk beats and deeply emotional soundscapes, A-side track “Density Wave” is a perfect energy boost launching the mind into the hoverboard riding reality.
Three-track EP is the first release on the new label Plant43 Recordings coming from a renowned UK producer, graphic designer, illustrator, and co-founder of London’s Bleep43 crew Emile Facey. Through over 20 years of production, Plant43 developed a uniquely recognizable style with a string of releases on respected scene favorites such as Central Processing Unit, Frustrated Funk, Semantica, Shipwrec, and Cultivated Electronics, among others.
