Among the many characters who appear in "Epic of the Three Kingdoms," one of the most popular is Zhao Yun.

He was a loyal and courageous man, and his appearance told Liu Bei, ``He is a man of courage. ” he said.

At the Battle of Changban, he held Liu Bei's son Ato in his arms and single-handedly broke through the enemy lines.
This is known as one of the famous scenes of Epic of the Three Kingdoms.

In the official history, unlike the Epic of the Three Kingdoms, there is surprisingly little mention of Zhao Yun.

Unlike Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, he had no major flaws or problems, and the fact that he carried out his duties reliably may have made him a 
great figure.

During an odyssey I recently undertook, I discovered this snippet of text in the Museum of Literature in Dublin. It’s from "Ulysses" (1923) by James Joyce (1882-1941) and I liked it immediately. The passage comes from the episode "Cyclops", in which the novel's hero, Bloom, opposes division and prejudice.

The picture shows the very first printing of the first edition of the book, exhibited in a display case on the third floor of the museum.

This is a follow-up posting of a wonderful collaboration Dan-T had invited Debra and I to contribute to.  Dan had posted it well over a year ago as a backing track to a dramatic French Fantasy production.  With his kind permission after the delay of a year, I wanted to post this as a celebration of a different kind of drama--life awakening from a long winter sleep. Dan's synths are sweeping and epic, Debbie's playing is measured and elegant like the words in a fine poem.  The Requinto guitar has a sweet voice sounding a bit like a Celtic harp to round out the production. I used to think You Are My Sunshine was a happy song until I recently read all the lyrics. I never realised how sad the story is. So with that in mind, in this version I leave out 2 of the 3 original verses and just focus on the outcome of the original lyrics, by putting the remaining verse and chorus in the past tense.
