Compcepts(Spring 2020)

For this track, I was aiming for something you'd hear in a beat 'em up set in the 80's. The name is a reference to a style of wrestling that combined wrestling with other martial art techniques. I had this image of a retired wrestler turned detective and his younger partner cleaning up the streets after getting word of a major crime ring being ran by a notorious mobster (Or something to that effect).

Strong Style Justice

I was aiming for something you might here at a Tropical Island Resort in a RPG or VN of some sort. I'll probably take some time to clean up the mixing and change up a couple of instruments at some point.

Green Leaf Samba (Draft)

Made a revisit to a tune I composed a while back and decided to create a Stage Clear/Battle Won and Results tune to accompany it. I'll eventually clean this one up a bit.

Day 4 submission hot off the press!

So a good friend of mine wrote up a draft for a boxing game concept and handed it to me. Using the ideas from it, I conjured up this short little tune that I thought could be used for the intro.

I'll def improve on it more at some point!

Bout To The Top (Draft)

Went with one of the tasks on the list to compose a sleeping at the inn/good night tune like the ones commonly found in a JRPG. Short, sweet and simple.

Sleep Tight

I might have spent too much time on this one, but it's something I really wanted to do for the longest. 

I went with something you might here in a certain popular franchise that recently had a spiritual sequel kickstarted. I'm def gonna have to clean this one up later at some point, but I think it came out pretty decent otherwise!

The Cursed Cathedral (Draft)

Decided to take it easy and follow the Game Over task on the list. I revisited day 1's track for this one as kind of a companion track (Out of continues/credits). I think it came out good, but knowing me, I'll probably end up spending part of tonight trying to clean it up lol.

Dead Lead (Game Over)

This has been itching at the back of my head for a while, and I was honestly going to save this one for later, but this is the start of a follow up to "Danger In the Cyberspace" of sorts. I apologise for anything that might sound off with the mixing (I really shouldn't do this stuff while half asleep).

Infected Server Climb (Draft)

Did a short match results kind of jingle based off of elements from the "Bout to the top" draft.

Sorry for the slow updates. Needed a bit of a break in order to get back at it.

Wanted to go with something you'd hear in a misty or foggy forest or cave in a classic JRPG. Might need a bit more work here and there, but I think it turned out well otherwise!

Misty Steps

Felt like working on something old (as in sitting in my folder for a while) and Jazzy, so I made a couple of adjustments to a tune that's kind of like a "Alert!" or "Enemy Spotted!" or "Escape" companion to "Sneaky as Vapor".

It's still really rough around the edges, but can still (Hopefully) be enjoyed till it's finished.

Chasing the Vapor(Draft)

Power Get!

Inspired by a couple of Shmup tracks I've been looking over from some folks, I felt inspired to do one of my own.

 I was aiming for a tune you might hear during a intermission (Get it? Shmup + Intermission = Shmuptermission! :^) or bonus stage where one might be collecting power ups from popcorn enemies, or aiming for that Perfect bonus to get that extend, hense the short loop. I ended up playing around with synths I never got aoround to messing with in a effort to aim for that old 80s (or early 90s) arcade (or home console or computer) sound.

I'll most likely make adjustments for mixing and whatnot at some point.

Shmuptermission

Came across a interesting song building concept from one of my feeds the other day, which was to compose a song using randomly generated numbers, then modifying it to your liking (Though, I think I remember seeing someone else here do something similar as well).

 The end result, while simple, was something unplanned, and ended up being something akin to a sacred palace/etheral/mind space kind of tune, like the ones you hear in RPGs or Adventure games.

 I think it came out good and I may revisit this at some point.

Meditation Palace

Couldn't sleep all that well for the last couple of days, so I figured I'd try my hand at channeling one of my favorite composers of all time.

It's a rough attempt some notes sound a bit off (Apologies to your ears in advance ), and there's still some proper mixing and filling in to do at some point. Hope it's still enjoyable to some extent!

A Urgent Solution (Draft)

From the ASSAULT SHELL ost, this is my first attempt at a boss theme. I've never gotten around to doing one (Mostly my fault for being indecisive and overwhelmed on how to approach it), so I did some homework and attempted to take a mid '90s early 2000s Namiki approach towards it. 

I just need to work on mixing some more and it should be good. Still debating if I should add a overall melody to some parts.
