I am a slave of LOVE
say no word but Love!
When you are in my presence
only speak of the Beloved’s Light and Sweetness.

Do not speak of your suffering mind
nor of your worldly problems
and if you cannot do that
then don’t bother and keep quiet.

Last night a craze came over me
Love saw me and said, “Here I am
don’t shout,
Don’t rip your cloths, hush, keep quiet.”

I said, “O Love, I’m afraid of that other thing.”
Love replied, “There is no other thing, keep quiet!”

“I will whisper secretes in your ear
just nod in affirmation
and don’t say anything
Keep quiet”

A nova, a celestial love
bursting bright
was found on the path of heart
so exquisite is this journey on the path of heart
It cannot be expressed
Keep quiet.

I said, “O Love, is this the countenance of a human or an angel?”
Love replied, “It’s neither human nor angel… keep quiet.”

I said, “What is this? Tell me, I’m going crazy in this whirl”
Love replied, “Whirl on and keep quiet.”

O you who has chosen to reside in this house of illusion and forms
Awake from this state, detach from it, keep quiet.”

I said, “O Heart, befather me,
for doesn’t this match God’s description?”
Love replied, “Yes, my child, it does,
but do not tell… keep quiet.”
