It’s always wonderful to see the rise of a label that stands for quality music, supports new and established and artists yet has a sound, look and feel that that is still fresh and forward thinking. Industry stalwart Steve Lawler has achieved exactly that with VIVa Music, having built a credible back catalogue of records that sound as good now as when they were first released. Hence, when Steve asked us if we wanted to exclusively premiere a track from fast rising Leeds’ producer Denney’s new EP for his label we took a listen and snapped ‘This Is Music’ right up!

Titled ‘On & On’ those of you who spent time in Ibiza this summer may well already be somewhat familiar with the the EPs two original tracks and their remixes, with all five cuts finding themselves on heavy rotation in the sets of Denney and the other members of the VIVa Warriors clan over the past few months.

“Both ‘On & On’ and ‘This Is Music’ were made with the intention of being peak time records on an acid house tip.” Denney explains. “I wanted to create some party records that were both soulful but also had the 303 running through them. They have been tried and tested from BPM to Miami to Ibiza and have been doing serious damage in my DJ sets.”

Set to arrive October 30th complete with remixes from Justin Robertson, Waif & Strays and Monday Club and, we’re sure you’ll be hearing plenty more of ‘This Is Music’ and Denney this winter.

"My Melody" – the long lost masterpiece from legendary house and hip hop innovator DJ Fast Eddie – is finally getting pressed! Super Rhythm Trax proudly present the remastered cut, alongside two hand selected album cuts, including our top pick "Keep on Dancing". Harking back to the sound of squelchy synthesisers and click of drum machine pads, this track is here to show that acid house is very much still alive. And who better to play host to this, than the master DJ Fast Eddie himself!

Next up on VIVa LIMITED is a 4 track EP from Guatemala native Sishi Rösch, who’s previous productions have found homes with esteemed imprints including One Records, No 19. Music, Exploited, and Get Physical.

“This EP for me is a very special one; I produced all the cuts using strictly analogue hardware to get that crisp, raw, old-school sound that is what I represent, no messin' around, just straight up naughty club licks. VIVa MUSiC and Steve Lawler have been heavy influences for me since I can remember, and I am very honored to be a part of the VIVa camp.” - Sishi Rösch

Crafted with analogue hardware the charm of this music is in it’s naiveté, drawing heavily upon the raw old-skool flavour of acid & ghetto house music that emerged from the seminal Chicago scene of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Make no mistake though that these tracks are still more than capable of rocking today’s dancefloors, with the release finding early support from Heidi, Annie Mac, Skream and Richy Ahmed.

The release has found strong support from the likes of Groove Armada, Stacey Pullen, Hector Couto, Re.You, Riva Starr, Reboot, Raffa FL, German Brigante, and Macromism to name a few.

Scurrilous are a newly formed duo out of Manchester who are already making waves within the house scene with their unique style of retro inspired house music. Influenced by the early sounds of Chicago and Detroit, the duo merge classic synths with growling acid bass-lines and raw hypnotic percussion.

Although they’ve only been collaborating as Scurrilous for a short time, both Adam and Andre have each enjoyed individual success, having been nominated for a Mobo and People’s Choice Music Award between them, as well as working with some of the biggest names in the underground scene. Since working together they have already picked up support from the likes of Steve Lawler, Marco Carola, Richy Ahmed, and Mark Jenkyns.

We welcome 2016 with the fourth reference of Scalectric Music signed by one of the new talents of House Music in Spain, Ekai. 100% Scalectric sound release which also has remixes of Diego Moreno and Ivan Smoka.

Ekai has managed to give us just we look for in Scalectric Music, Old School touch and acid sounds spiced with 90`s House stuff. "My Luv" the song that opens this EP, describes perfectly the style that we want for Scalectric. A cheerful track, designed for the dancefloor, 909 sounds and 90´s synths transport us to another time and also provides the force of the current sound of this style. In the second cut "Acid Can" we found a sound with a little more Funky character, without losing that energy so fresh. 2 bombs
worthy of the best tracks.

Commissioned to remix "My Luv" was Ivan Smoka, the legendary DJ and producer from Madrid with the collaboration of the Mexican Dr. Vertiz. Ivan take us out a bit of ecstasy and madness to bring us into a more atmospheric level with acid lines and New Wave synths. A seven minutes trip ideal for letting go.

The ep closes with one of the bosses of the recognized label "Digital Delight" Diego Moreno. He gives us a very powerful version of "Acid Can" but darker than the original, bordering the psychedelic at some points of the track. A bunch of Old School and Groove managed with quality.

In this 2016 we keep up our roots with a mix of recognized national underground producers among great projection and enthusiastic artists. So stay tuned because big surprises are coming this year!

Having previously had a long and deep history working in other genres, Solardo are unequivocally one of the most hotly tipped DJ/production duos currently refining their sound within the house and techno scene.

Released earlier this year on VIVa MUSiC as part of Detlef’s mix for the ‘VIVa Warriors Season 4’ compilation, Solardo’s track ‘It’s A New Jam’ received stalwart support from pretty much everyone in the scene in Ibiza over the Summer, an early indicator to us that these boys have a lot more to offer. It is with great pleasure then that we now welcome Solardo back to VIVa MUSiC, this time with a full five-track EP to bolster the rekordboxes of DJs worldwide.
