Skin & Wisdom is the followup to Mood Exhibit's world percussion album Vibrations Empowered Within.

- Every traditional culture throughout time has had its drum. Drums have been used for communication with mortals and immortals. Drums have been used to celebrate mortals and immortals. Across the globe, drumming has been part of the history of people both grounding themselves and transcending this world. With this shared history in mind, it becomes easier to imagine the possibilities of uniting cultures through drumming. Often, we think of differences when we consider various cultures, but drumming speaks to what joins us.

- Animal hides, such as those from a goat, sheep, or calf, were stretched over a frame or shell to create the earliest drum skins. These organic materials offered the endurance and resonance required for sound production. Drums were employed for signalling, communication, and religious rites in many ancient societies.

Mood Exhibit - Skin & Wisdom

A dog has been visiting us for a few days. Made me get up earlier than usual. We walked, we heard music, & here I found this old tune. It´s good enough, no need for perfection. The door´s noise was added as a promotional wrinkle, & it sounds good, too.
Get well into this next year, 2025. Another quarter of another century will have gone by.

made by chris from www.googoofish.com circa 2006 mostly using a casio CZ-101 for both percussion, drum, rhythmic and melodic parts. Possibly recorded in Australia before moving to  England. if any one has any more info about Chris, his DIY instruments or his music I would love to know.
