bbbbbb recors welcomes London’s Henry Greenleaf.

In an era where functionality often overshadows innovation, ‘Brawn’ is a record that doesn’t court approval; it insists on impact. Built for high-pressure systems and low ceilings, this EP forces sonic phenomena into a new spectacle through design.

Greenleaf’s catalogue to date, spanning labels such as Par Avion, YUKU, and ARTS, sketches a restless trajectory between sonic precision and disregard. His productions operate where rhythm becomes architecture: kicks shaped like homogenised concrete with subs which flex and buckle beneath slashing percussive motifs. Textures are stretched until they fray and tear, only to rebirth into the next cataclysmic drop. Sound is treated as a physical material, layered and stressed, reshaped until the comforting and familiar mutates into the haunting and surreal.

Across the EP, this philosophy takes full form. A1 ‘Brawn’ sets the tone with dense, daggering drums and tightly coiled low-end pressure, balancing brute force with meticulous spatial control. ‘Jump Up To Be’ follows reducing groove to its bluntest, most hypnotic form. Greenleaf minimises his production framework to nothing but a kick and growling lead, which feels perpetually on the verge of rupture. On the flip,
‘Gawk’ carves negative space between distorted pulses and menacing,
warped rhythmic figures, before ‘UNTUNTUNT’ closes the record out in driving fashion, delivering a raw, foley-esque Techno workout with punch drunk swing and an uncanny brutish rumble.

True to the label’s ethos, ‘Brawn’ does not chase trends or refine its statements. It folds air and pressures it into motion, cuts club music down to its working parts, and provokes spontaneous chaos to erupt from within the grid; moments where structure splinters, energy misbehaves, and control gives way just enough to keep everything volatile. Engineered yet unpredictable, utilitarian yet unruly, Brawn embodies the tension, unpredictability, and uniqueness that have long defined bbbbbb recors.

For the first time in over two decades, the Brian Aneurysm’s album Amplified is available as a digital release, fully re-mastered, plus remixes and bonus tracks.

Twenty-three years after Sub Static pressed it to two slabs of wax, Amplified comes back with the gain turned up. Leading the reissue is a fresh remix package: B-Pushr, the name Bernhard Pucher works under today, returns to his own source material with the perspective of two decades, rewiring elements from every song into a Frankenstein monster. “Miss MJ, one of the brightest signals in the current techno crop, mashes up “Amplified” and "14 Fingers" and takes them straight to the floor: harder edges, tighter headroom, no apologies. Syrte, the IDM veteran, does the opposite and pulls "Can’t You See" apart into resonance and residue, finding the tune hiding in the room tone.

Behind them sits the album itself. Seven tracks released in 2003 into the moment when Cologne minimal was quietly rewriting what a techno album could sound like. Original stock has continued to spin on turntables, in wantlists and in secondhand bins. Cologne's decks.de called it right at the time: "fat minimal tracks on double 12-inch, forward progress for home and floor. Recommend!!!"

Now remastered from the original WAVs, Amplified arrives on digital platforms for the first time. The full 2003 album plus three remixes that treat it as a live wire rather than a museum piece.Written and produced by Bernhard Pucher.Remixes by Miss MJ and Stefan Weise (Syrte).
