Garrett Gooch is a native of Detroit, Michigan that has the passion to be an independent gospel artist. While striving to be an independent gospel artist Garrett has put in hard work serving other artists and ministries as well. Garrett developed his musical style from a lifetime of musical influence.  As the son of Jazz musician Edward Gooch, growing up in a musical family, serving in his church’s music ministry, excelling in performance arts in school, exposed Garrett to all the different forms of music. This exposure helped to develop Garrett into the vocalist he is today. During his musical career Garrett has accomplished the following; Former Praise and Worship leader for Christ The Lord Christian Center, Former Praise and Worship leader for Climbing Jacob’s Ladder Church, Member/ Soloist of The Gospel Truth Choir, Former Member of the National Touring Company for Mosaic Youth Theater, Background Vocalist for Sherri Berry, KEM, Jason Nelson, Zacardi Cortez, Stephen Anderson and Resolved, David Reed, just to name a few. Garrett has also had the opportunity to ghost write for Atlantic Records. Garrett released a promo album in 2013 entitled Just Until The Album under his own label Garrett J Muzik to have experience having full control of his craft from beginning to end. Currently Garrett is working on a new project entitled Ground Zero being executively produced by Philip Bates in partnership with Garrett J Muzik set to release later in 2018. This project has yielded the hit single Unconditional Love. Garrett’s goal is to make sure that people’s lives are touched by the love of Jesus when they listen to his music and see Jesus not Garrett.
