There were some unconfirmed, but very plausible reports of sightings of a crashed U.F.O. in or around Bogota, Colombia. And indeed, all the orchestrated government cover-ups in the world couldn’t make us believe that there isn’t a duo of weirdly Scandinavian-looking aliens strolling around that area. But, alas, they seem to be of the friendly, if trippy, kind.
What they seem to be mostly interested in, is handing out 808 space cakes and inquiring about nearby raves, absorbing influences of the indigenous culture on their path. First-hand reporters claim to having gone on extensive ayahuasca trips with them and binging hard on empanadas afterwards. So yeah, seems like nothing to worry here, they come in peace and bring the trippy shit!

Utilizing her experience of early years playing in garage bands and the experience as an in-demand DJ, Errortica comes with a fresh and original approach for production on Sweat and Get Down. Break-beat, balearic, jersey and bass music, Sasha denies genre borders, and incorporates what she plays out into her own new music world. Calligraphic sampling, re-sampling, vocal recording and processing via guitar FX pedals, heavy drum programming, - the creative flow here has been also very sweaty, and so is the final result. In her own words, "a real party is a sweaty party!" ...we can only agree!

Production powerhouses Sacha Robotti and Sian aka Third Culture serve up a powerful new EP for Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic.

Between them this pair have established it all in underground dance music. Irish-born Sian has been head of the Octopus imprint and its subsidiaries since 2007, and in that time has helped shaped the sound of techno. Sacha is the German-Italian producer, formerly one half of Robosonic, who has been crafting dance floor fire for almost two decades on the likes of Dirtybird, Nervous and Desert Hearts. As Third Culture the pair has released on labels like Diynamic and now come through for Maceo Plex's celebrated imprint.

Opener 'U Move' is a gritty electro-tech cut with slapping analogue drum funk and a vocoder vocal up top. Frazzled synths and wild acid spray about the mix as this monstrous cut brings timeless futurism to the floor next to scintillating electro melodies. The potent 'Follow Me' rides on squelchy bass with plenty of sci-fi sound effects and a freaky vocal fleshing out the mix. It's a turbulent fusion of electro and techno that injects real energy as it constantly evolves on a compelling, funk-fuelled rhythm. Closer 'I See You' is the most caustic cut of the lot - the serrated synths buzz through the mix over tense drum programming. Bleeping melodies and electro-clash rhythms are overlaid with a clean male vocal to complete this intergalactic trip.

This is another trio of stylish electro and techno fusion from the always innovative Third Culture.

It’s always fun to let our audience peer through the party peephole with some hot behind-the-scenes info. For months, Black Light Smoke’s Control EP has supplied several of label head Tiga’s secret DJ weapons. In fact, he’s been sneaking out constantly after 9pm to play it out anywhere they’ll have him. And it’s little wonder to those who wonder why, as the Chicago-born producer’s top-flight mix of EBM, electro and Benadryl-soaked vocals has all the right people dancing.

Leadoff track "New York Is Dead” eulogizes the famous Big Apple Dance Party Scene in a way that will confuse the many who have embraced the city’s thriving “Groove With the Avengers” day rave series in Times Square. But the nihilism-liking doesn’t stop there, with the Friday-Til-I-Die attitude of “Black Hole at the Disco,” the pleather-dreaded post-cyberpunk  of “Last Song Before Sunrise”, and the oxygen-deprived acid of “Break Your Back” culminating in the 11:45am-peak-time industrial trance of closer “Mind Control.” 

Because we want this to be available to as many inhabitants of the blasted apocalyptic landscape we have pencilled in for 2034 or so, we have decided to make this release available both digitally and on vinyl. So whether you’ve managed to jack in illegally to a Spotify Wind Farm or you’re relegated to the hand-cranked misery of a Victrola while living in a barn or something, we’ve got you covered!

EN: Jan Rudyk (stress on U to sukablyat') alias rúdyk. Born and raised in the Northern capital. One of the founders and resident of 40HZ NIGHT. Does not adhere to genre boundaries both in production and during performances. Music lover, multi-genre producer and DJ. What music he chooses to write usually depends on his mood, but still prefers the British bass sound as well as experiments on hip-hop, the sound of classic Detroit techno and Chicago house.

"Hypnotic EP" is an experiment. A mixture of everything that I like in this culture and music in general. I hope everyone who listens will find something close to themselves in my work.
