as with most of my titles this is both, a spur-of-the-moment idea as well as a multi-levelled enigma 🤓
first and foremost: the song is a document of my sound atm... what kind of samples i'm interested in, what i'm looking for sonically and finally also an expression of the mellow mindstate i'm in not having performed or dj-ed in front of an audience for so many months...
the title is thus also an expression of an urge to travel again, to hunt new experiences and memories (hence the title fernW which is pronounced as the German term "Fernweh," d'uh?!)..
the song also marks the end of my Wiedikon residency and i'm having mixed feelings about this... it is the ever so common "lächelndes und weinendes Auge" situation..
change is inevitable blablabla... every end marks a beginning blablabla... BUT HEY! this really marks a beginning since it's the first song released by the promising Iruka Records label and i'm feeling honored, humbled as well as latently hungry to have contributed the first release – vielen herzlichen Dank an Euch! 🙏🏻
obviously there's still more to it, but some things remain private for now.

All scratches were provided by @debonair-p, the mixing was done by @djparental in Paris, the mastering was handled by Sven Friederichs and the full artwork was designed by Gordon Gieseking.

After a crazy year filled with a lot of BS (search warrant and other problems that I won't mention here), Back2DaSource is finally back on track with a DOPE Project.  Indeed we are back with the sophomore album of The Nobodies called Now Culture. The album was only released on CD format at the time on Day By Day Entertainment, label founded by MF Grimm. Now Culture is a Slept On album ! Most of the tracks have been recorded in the late 90's, no fillers, 24 tracks. Great Boom Bap Jazzy Soulful productions by Eagleman, Equinox, Babyhead & Phatboy.
