"The reason I selected this for the series was, for myself, it being personal time piece, the quality of the tracks and the mix being consistently good. Building through some great soulful house vocals and dubs into some deep cuts that haven't dated since it's release in 2002. Having quite a few of these on vinyl picked up around the time, including Mindflight's "Release", Derrick White's "Soul 2 Let Go" and Kerri Chandler's "Atmospheric Beats" the mix by silky deep house man Miguel Migs was never far from the earlobes at the time. And being released on the ever consistently good Naked Music label, its great from start to finish. A true reflection of the kinds of tracks I played out in sets when I started out DJing. Enjoy!!" Chicago House Party Radio (Show #1)

Rulin' recently celebrated it's 20th Anniversary and monumentally, it turned out to be the final gig of our late great Godfather of House Frankie Knuckles. 

This mix is a tribute to all the DJ's that created an outstanding vibe week in week out at the Ministry, none more so than resident from this era, CJ Mackintosh. After hearing his Essential Mix back in 1994 as a kid, I was captivated by the warm soulful and energetic vibe he created and can only imagine what it would have been like to be there on the night. 

I hope this mix captures to an extent what it would have been like to experience what was a golden era for both quality of music produced and the outstanding DJs who really brought it.

Mark Anthony has been spinning tunes at some of the best venues for over 2 decades.

From cafe bars to restaurants, night clubs to beach bars, hotels to weddings, Mark Anthony has played them all, from 'Cafe Blue' in Bristol to 'Home Nightclub' in Manchester and everything inbetween. Playing at parties for Maxim Magazine, Hed Kandi & DTPM as well as being the resident DJ for over 10 years at Manchester's finest boutique hotel & restauant 'Velvet' and warming up for Danny Krivit at the SSW4 'Scottish Soulful Weekender'.
 
Mark's talents don't only apply behind the turntables, in the 00's he also launched his own record label 'Neat Music Recordings'. Releasing primarily deep and jazzy house music, you'll find many of his tracks featured on big named compilation albums like Hed Kandi, Cafe Del Mar, Sony Music and over 50 others. 
 
With a vast musical knowledge and collection Mark can play anything from downtempo or jazzy background music to sit and lounge or disco & dance grooves to get the dancefloor moving.
