Hailing all the way from the central mountains of Colombia, Lopar ( @lopar_music ) brings deep and luscious sounds from the city of Manizales. A talented DJ in many genres, he navigates a range of styles and moods from ambient, dub and minimal to  deep & hypnotic techno & dnb. 

He began his career as a professional DJ in 2015 at Academia Decibel (Intelligent Division) in Medellin, Colombia and now is involved in local efforts as part of the "Natural" collective in Manziales to bring like-minded sounds and artists to the city, playing alongside talents like Anthony Linell & Polygonia.

For our tenth instalment we’ve invited Jephta, a highly talented DJ from Amsterdam.
 
Jefta Wattimena, also known as Jephta, is a Dutch DJ based in Amsterdam and a resident of the Rotterdam-based organization Embodiment. His style is a hypnotic and immersive blend of driving and experimental elements. 

He firmly believes in supporting local communities and has already had the opportunity to play major festivals, acclaimed clubs, and community events throughout the Netherlands.

Aspiring to discover different scenes and cultures, Jephta is on a journey to expand his reach to the global music landscape.

Some words by Jephta about this mix:
Last year's rhytmic adventure led me to a new found passion for all sorts of break orientated sounds. 

To solidify this passion, I decided to compose a full-on dark drum 'n bass and halftime mix, consisting of my current favourite artists and labels of the genres.

In our next installment of Autoscopy, we delve into the sonic world of Sebastián Rubio, an artist with over a decade of experience in the local music scene. Under the Zdrojieros project since 2019, Sebastián takes us on a journey through experimental, percussive, and tribal soundscapes, shaping a distinctive style that captures the essence of his hometown, Armenia, Quindío. This is a special mix by REGIS recorded at Kuboraum during the fourth episode of our "Atonal Off" event series.

It was our honor to host & share this event last August 2018 with a special crowd that came to celebrate this unique moment for the underground music scene: the 25th year of the legendary Downwards Records.

The well visited off jam session was a very notable and intimate birthday celebration and this set is delivering the exact atmosphere and vibe that was experienced during this evening.

Downwards is a record label founded in Birmingham, England in 1993 by Regis and Female, it has a fundamental and influential impact on the electronic music and techno panorama we know today since its beginning. 

Thanks to Regis, Layne, Jim Ningus and Justin Anastasi for their incredible music and the beautiful vibe they created.
