Lars From Mars es el alias del compositor, programador, intérprete y sonologista Lars Graugaard, bajo el cual se entrega a todo tipo de funciones corporales aplicadas a la música, incorporando todo tipo de técnicas innovadoras y últimas tendencias en su herramienta de rendimiento autoprogramada, para crear una una notable y atractiva electrónica experimental.

Gościem piątego wydania serii rozmów i podcastów muzycznych Background Process jest Ernest Borkowski (on/jego) i jego wymykająca się z ram gatunkowych działalność jako @bakblivv, w ramach której łączy eksperyment dźwiękowy, sety DJskie, VJskie oraz występy live. Ernest jest członkiem audiowizualnego kolektywu @progrefonik, zaś produkcyjnie jest związany z krakowskim labelem @nawia. Swoją twórczość muzyczną prezentował m.in. na festiwalu Avant Art w Warszawie i podczas Miesiąca Fotografii w Krakowie.

W swoich setach miesza ze sobą wiele środowisk dźwiękowych, szukając dla nich wspólnego języka w tańcu. Popowe wokale przeplatają się z muzyką ballroomową, a reggaeton nadaje rytm postklubowym fantazjom i spotyka się z brzmieniami basowymi, czego próbkę można usłyszeć w soczystym miksie nagranym przez niego dla Background Process.

Poza sztuką dźwiękową, ​​Ernest zajmuje się także grafiką 3D, filmem eksperymentalnym, VR’em i performansem. Wykorzystując te media, eksploruje relacje między naturokulturą a technologią, badając przy tym systemowe praktyki wykluczania mniejszości i poszukując możliwości queerowania podmiotu. Swoje umiejętności szlifował na Wydziale Intermediów ASP w Krakowie, a swoje prace prezentował m.in. na festiwalu Młode Wilki w Szczecinie, przeglądzie VideoNews w Galerii Labirynt w Lublinie, podczas Miesiąca Fotografii w Krakowie, Cracow Gallery Weekend Krakers, festiwalu Nadmiar 4 Rewizja czy na Poznań Design Festival.

Mister Willis started his love for music enjoying the party culture between Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and Manchester, being introduced to varied music scenes and cultures which has heavily influenced his style, keeping the dance-floor moving with mainly techno, dub techno and electro. Now living in Berlin, Mister Willis has been frequent at Suicide Club and has a regular slot on HÖR.

"This mix was made with influence from the late 90’s-early 00’s, with a good mix of older records and some new. There are a lot of forgotten gems I dug out. I love Stef Mendesidis sound at the moment with slick rolling kick-drums, so I kinda went with this style throughout."

Bio:

"I’ve been a lover of electronic music for many years (I have a few behind me!). My influences include Detroit techno, Chicago house, UK techno, hardcore,  breakbeats, ambient and all sorts of music that usually involve synths. I run a label which is primarily digital with the occasional vinyl release called Forte Techno with my friend Steven McDonagh. I also put some of my own music out on Bandcamp all under my name Ross Alexander. I enjoy working with various machines and software tools mostly making techno but dabble in other areas too and enjoy doing live sets."

Projekt prowadzi krakowska DJka olga er, która zafascynowała się DJingiem pod koniec 2018 roku i od tamtej pory korzysta z każdej okazji, by dowiedzieć się więcej. W graniu techno poszukuje balansu pomiędzy hipnotyczną ciągłością a szorstkim brzmieniem i offgridowymi zaskoczeniami.
