Here's a freebie and a preview of things to come.

I spent most of 2013 pissing about with different genres and techniques and all that stuff but am starting to figure out what I like to write more. I've got an EP coming with some people I really love end of Feb/March time and also have a few freebies to throw around.

Expect some purple/hip hoppy/trappy/beat shit over the next year and if you're a fan of people like Hudmo, Rustie, Joker, Ganz, Awe, Alexandre, Louis Futon etc.. then I think you'll really like whats coming up.

Like most people our age, we grew up playing videogames. The countless hours glued to the TV playing our favorite games inspired us to put together a short tribute to these fantastic devices. Which ever side you were on, nobody can deny the amazing games offered on both platforms. There is incredible value in what these composers did with the limited hardware and this is our way of showing appreciation.

We updated their sounds a little bit and in a way, prove that good songs transcend genres.

A taste of one of the never before released tracks on the next album "Lost and Found". The album mainly holds remastered versions of the old classics from the golden MP3.com days, but also a few "new" ones that where never on any official release (i.e. CD).

"Lost and Found" is a release aimed mainly to the die-hard-trance[]control fans out there as it mostly represent the time when trance[]control went from a bedroom project to a global phenomenon.

About a month ago I bought myself a new mixer. This upload is just to show off what the new mixing console (Soundcraft Ghost) does to a track that's being run through it with a bit added tweaking on the EQ.

Tech Talk notes:

+ The track was sent out to the mixer using one stereo- and one mono bus.
+ Applied EQ on all three channels on the Ghost console, and downmixed them back to Logic. (Mono bus channel used to rebalance the super wide stereo image back to a less insane stereo field).
+ Applied a gentle limiter and rendered the file.
