Here's a re-rub I did using a wicked funk beat from Cameo as a backbone & the main hooks from DJ Vadim ft Zion I's - Got to Rock acapella. I beefed up the bass, Drums and added additional synth elements & FX. This all makes for a nice party break aimed to set off  today's dance floors. This one has been setting it off in my DJ sets and been getting good feedback from working DJ's such as DJ Slynk, Fort Knox Five, Stickybuds to name a few... Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is very pound to welcome back one of the Ghetto Funk scenes finest producers: B-Side for the second installment of his Party Bangers series. This time he’s teamed up with another heavyweighter – BBP’s very own BadboE to line up 4 big tunes designed for maximum dancefloor destruction!

Party Bangers Vol. 2 takes us on a musical journey through different areas of electronic funk: from the peak time ghetto funk bangers – over Reggae grooves, electro swing to end up with a disco anthem. The musicality plays a big role on these tunes and its easy to recognize both producers signature through-out this EP.        

The EP kicks off with a big electric funk bangers Funk Me Again, which takes elements from a classic funk jam and mixes it with some J5 party rap in a progressive ghetto funk arrangement. Rewind it Back takes on some catchy reggae summer grooves and slams on some big beats and wobble basslines. Do You Wanna Ride flips it around with some electro swing vibes to makes sure the party keeps on riding. Last but not least its time for B-Side & BadboE to Get Busy on an extended disco anthem. 7 mins of groovy disco goodness.

Ken is blasting into the scene with an instant classic funky joint called Closer To The Sun, and is being accompanied by veteran established names on remix duties. US-based Ken has a good ear for chilled funky hooks and has cooked up a perfect example on the title tune on this EP.

Good friend and partner producers from discObeta is taking it further down the chilled path with their down tempo trippy mix which will be sure to please your ear. discObeta has featured on multiple compilations and remixes as well as dropped the Chinese Robots EP right here on BBP.

Legendary electro disco funk producer from New York Ursula 1000 also adds his signature treatment to the Closer To The Sun jam by adding some catchy electro synth and beats to keep the trippy vibes going strong.

German producer-duo Mined & Forrest takes the track to the dancefloor by applying a well-arranged midtempo groove and some ghetto funk beats. The track is spiced up with a good doze of catch vocal samples for the ghetto funkers.

Last but not least we invited Australian bass producer Bezwun who cooked up a smooth housy bass mix to keep the party rocking well into the night. 

Lots of diversity and twists on a classic original joint on this EP to keep things funky as always – right here on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings.

Bringing the debut single "Closer To The Sun" to life with a crunchy break beat, a flurry of sitars and and infectious blues style vocal. Hailing from the North East (U.S.), lifelong friends and collaborators of discObeta, KEN is a seasoned musician and songwriter. There are rumors that KEN also works with well know downtempo artists holding duties as a guitarist, bassist, drummer, and engineer. Not much more is known about this multi-talented artist... and he likes it that way. KEN has had his share of label deals, brushes with famous artists and has a unique relationship with the backbone of one the greatest bands in the world. Where the many desperately seek the limelight, this stoic artist strays away from it and would rather relish in the wash of melody, beats and the exotic. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is turning back time to the early 70s when funk music was made by talented musicians joining forces in bands with the objective to create the next big funk anthem. So many big tunes and classic funk productions came out of this era and it also harnessed a new breed of funk bands across the globe who is dedicated to continuing the legacy of the funk music in the new millennium.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings has proudly collected 4 bands to represent the new era of funk from various parts of Europe. German based Grand Slam, Swiss funk band Grand Mothers&rsquo; Funck, Nasa Funk from Greece and A Man About a Dog from the UK has all provided original funk jams to this groovy 12&rdquo; vinyl.
On this Digital we have even gathered some of the greatest talents in the electronic funk scene to produce some dancefloor-oriented remixes of these original funk jams. Beat Le Juice, Jayl Funk, B-Side &amp; BadboE has all given their signature twists and made some dynamite DJ friendly versions out of these funk bombs.

Leading the way on the a-side is Grand Slam who has created a big summer tune which sits in well with some of the current radio funk jams and will be sure to bring the ladies on the floor. Grand Slam has been around since 1985 by incorporating various flavors from Rock, Jazz, Soul and Hip Hop. The Get On Down jam from their release out in May 2017 shows just how it&rsquo;s done to do classic oldskool P-Funk which sounds as fresh as anything else on the radio here in 2020! Produced by (and featuring) veteran P-Funk legend Gary &ldquo;Mudbone&rdquo; Cooper!

Grand Mother&rsquo;s Funck means business on the straight up funky The Dog tune taken from their brand new album Take The Money. A special edit was done for this release as they are celebrating their 12th album release from a legendary veteran funk band who has been tearing up the Swiss funk scene for over 23 years now.
On the flipside the funk is riding equally high as Nasa Funk rolls in their Stand Up jam. Straight outta Thessaloniki, Greece comes this 5-man band with vocalist George Perin leading the way. This tune is produced with old friend of the label Basement Freaks.

Last but certainly not least we turn our attention to the UK where the band A Man About a Dog has cooked up a latin-inspired and jazzy funk tune called Pollos.
On the remix duties we start off with a beautiful electro remix of Grand Slam&rsquo;s Get On Down track by the talented Beat Le Juice, who has captured the smooth funky essence of the original and converted it into his own electro/disco bumping style.

For the second remix we turned to the always reliable, always groovy Jayl Funk who&rsquo;s putting some head nodding funky breaks on GMF&rsquo;s The Dog tune.
Last but not least we called upon 2 veteran producers in the electronic funk scene: B-Side and label owner BadboE, who&rsquo;s taken a serious flirt with some housy disco beats on their groovy remix of A Man About a Dog's Pollo track.

That sums up the first all original funk release to be dropped on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings. BadboE is a truecore musichead born in Denmark in 1980. Located in the northern part of Denmark, where the weather always suxx, which gives BadboE a good excuse to sit in his music lab throwing pumpin' beats at his 18" bass sound system all day long. BadboE�s primary music inspirations come from the oldskool funk productions from the late 60s and the 70s. Like many other breakbeat artists, this musical legacy is where BadboE dig in to bring new life by cutting and mixing the pieces into new danceable songs. The specialty has become sophisticated mixing of old funk samples with 80s rap vocals and hooks. BadboE started out making music in the mid 90s - doing mainly euro hardcore techno, but soon found out that his real passion and fascination was for breaks and bigbeats. After trying out just about everything in the electronic music genre from - house, trance, club, happy hardcore to drum&bass, triphop and Breakbeat the conclusion was that funky breakbeat is what he does best. So now BadboE pretty much combined it all into one with an emphasis on breaks, which has become the BadboE-style. 

In 2006 BadboE formed his own digital recordlabel together with his fellow musician Wiccatron called Breakbeat Paradise Recordings (BBP Recordings). The goal with the label was to ensure faster access to the market as well as open doors for some of the great artists that are doing funky breaks. Since then the nu funk scene has come to live and the BBP label is set to be one of the digital leaders in this genre. 

BadboE has been keeping busy releasing his unique flavour of b-boy funk and uptempo partyfunk on his own label and on various other labels. After releasing a few vinyl records in 2007 - the debut EP: "Loose Your Funky Self" and a remix by Break The Box called "Walk out Laughing" the successful EP "Dynamite/Nothing But the Funk" was released in Oct 2008 with remixes from All Good Funk Alliance! This was followed by the successful 4-track Good Groove 11 vinyl that managed to stay at the no. 1 spot on the breakbeat chart for several months. A lot or remixes has been coming out on various labels and they have all contributed to settling BadboE�s name in the funky breakbeat scene. In 2008 BadboE got active as a live DJ playing at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and at the electronic Boom festival in Portugal as well as other local gigs. 

BadboE's music is going in 2 directions - the first is making funky breaks and trippy lounge breaks without using uncleared samples (material to release commercially) and the other is for the scene mixing, breaking and bootlegin' with the oldskool funk tunes. In the upcoming years BadboE will focus on getting his music out there with a full length album coming out in 2009 as well as touring the world with his funky partyrocking DJsets. Stay tuned...
