For the second episode of our Herbarium Podcast series, we are pleased to welcome French producer and DJ @vardaemusic. 
The co-owner of @cosmicwaverecords presents a powerful mixture of breaks and straight beats interspersed with irresistible grooves from the faster realms of our genre direction. 
For this mix we have chosen the shrub 'Genista', which can be found all over Europe. In autumn, the plant forms elongated legumes that can contain up to 30 tiny seeds. These are widely dispersed by a centrifugal mechanism, the movement of which evokes in us strong associations with Vardae's mix.

現居柏林與里斯本的 Techno 藝術家，以深邃迷幻的 DJ set 帶領聽眾踏上狂喜之旅。她同時是 Art Bei Ton 廠牌與活動系列的創辦人，自 2018 年起透過催眠聲響、迷幻視覺及性別平衡的陣容塑造電子音樂場景。

HBM 的音樂風格融合深層 Hypnotic Techno、氛圍 Ambient 與儀式感十足的鼓點，以循環節奏、夢幻音墊、律動低音與迷幻旋律，將舞池轉化為一場淨化心靈的儀式。

她的演出足跡遍及全球，包括柏林 Tresor、東京 VENT、波爾圖 Gare、首爾 Vurt. 等標誌性場館，並在紐約、台北、巴黎、阿姆斯特丹、巴塞隆納等地留下迷人的音樂印記。

製作方面，HBM 於 2024 年 11 月發行單曲 Give Me Joy，並將於 2025 年 2 月推出個人 EP，敬請期待她的更多作品！


A Berlin- and Lisbon-based techno artist, Hypnotic Black Magic is known for her deep, trippy sets that transport audiences on euphoric journeys. As the founder of Art Bei Ton, she has shaped the scene since 2018 through hypnotic sounds, psychedelic visuals, and gender-balanced lineups.

HBM blends deep hypnotic techno, atmospheric ambient, and ritualistic drums, curating looping rhythms, dreamy pads, groovy basslines, and trancy patterns to guide listeners through a cathartic dance experience.
Her performances have captivated audiences worldwide, from Tresor (Berlin) and VENT (Tokyo) to Gare (Porto) and Vurt. (Seoul), with appearances in New York, Taipei, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and beyond.

On the production front, HBM released Give Me Joy in November 2024 on Art Bei Ton’s VA and is set to drop her debut EP in February 2025. Stay tuned for exciting updates!

"Save Your Atoll" is a project started in 2019 by Italian artist Antonello Meloni from Sardinia, focusing on deep sound and techno with ambient and atmospheric elements enriched by groove-driven storytelling. After a year of podcasts, he began releasing original productions in 2020, including singles and EPs influenced by artists like Burial. He has released music on international labels such as Fur:ther Sessions, Oslated, and Dosis Records, and performed as a resident DJ. Prominent underground artists support his work and continues to evolve with new releases and remixes through 2024/25.
