Rhythms & Regrets (Voice Rework)

I'm not the first to use this amazing sample from Dr. Charles Hayes and the Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir but I think I definitely gave it my own unique twist. I love the pure, unfiltered energy of the choir. I went for a pretty old school production style to keep this as raw and unpolished as possible but also combined old and new elements to create a mix of different styles. I think overall this resulted in a playful record that I had a lot of fun making. Hope you guys will like it too!

For this tune, I collaborated with the amazing Fly Disco Butter to create an uplifting anthem that celebrates uniqueness and pride.

It’s all about protecting that weirdness that makes you, you, and have nobody take that away from you by telling you how to be. I really love a kids choir in my tracks so we made the lead vocal sound like that. Combined with an old school gospel style piano and an uplifting brass band on the drop I think it makes for a really unique and fun blend of different styles.

 It’s quirky, chaotic, fun, and timeless and I hope it will lift up your day and put a smile on your face. Let’s go dancing!
