Werfol debuts on BAKK with a stunning and diverse four tracker. Originally from Kaliningrad, Danil Inyushkin cooks up his meticulous electro with a dash of trap inspired sounds and a sprinkle of Avantgarde techno. His mad mix of styles is sonically unique, hard to pin down, and will challenge any dance floor.

Plafond continues, taking center stage after the mother label BAKK ceded. Here, two long-time collaborators, Ekolali, originating from Sweden, and Tala Drum Corps, from the Netherlands, await their returns. The former reappears with a characteristic approach earlier heard on 'Doggerland'. The latter did multiple dance releases yet now debuts for this series, expanding on his stylistic spectrum. 

Despite shared tempo, the energies of the track are each of their own. Pulsating with energetic urgency, Ekolali, towards hypnotic movement, Tala Drum Corps. 'Totem Mollusca' shoots for the sun, like a budding landscape, yellow rays, waterdrops – kraut-inspired yet club-like without seeking a climax. 'tokyo subway' has a marimba-ridden, timeless feel – a clock-ticking, crude atmosphere, as a dream long passed, slowly ascending. 

Known for its two-sided, two-songs format, Plafond offers two artists or artist combinations the freeform room for exploration and elongation of their respective sound and practices. This is the eighth in the series.

RAFF debuts with a solid assembly of made-to-measure club tracks. Be it new life dawning or physical pain, these productions drip character, finding their roots in personal moments that mark and scar RAFF's day to day life. As a linchpin of Rotterdam's deejay culture, one can hear technoid elements of his homebase fluctuate along an axis of Detroitesque electro. Naming afrofuturism as a major source of influence, this release locks you into RAFF's world through its emotional touch and technical precision. Designed for clubs and headphones alike, his works can be distinguished via their frequential layering and spatial design. Plafond enters its second decade with Cucina Povera and Haron fusing the folkloric and futurist. Maria Rossi and Haron Aumaj (real names) honour musical cinematism on ‘Riffittelyä’, which slowly unfolds during a twenty-two minute trail of exploration, angst and redemption. Meddling voices pinch through an aural mist, Kubrickesque strings impend and cathedral organs relevate. Most striking is the compatibility of Rossi’s tangibility and Aumaj’s computerisation, seamlessly forming a renewed dynamic, as granular as it is loose in texture.

During this unique first collaboration it can be quickly forgotten both artists have highly distinctive styles. We are reminded of these singularities on the other half of the record, featuring two solo works, both rich yet contrasting in their colour and emotion. On ‘Maandag, Spiegeldag’, Aumaj sketches in orange chromatics, a featherweight composition that feels far away from the greyscale fragility that Rossi portrays on ‘Ajatus’. Showcasing two minimalist artists catapulted by their stunning debut albums, this sixth Plafond keeps the listener in constant awe, pointing us to the endless potential of spontaneity.

Comes in Pantone printed outer sleeve with deep red and yellow topped with a silk screened black and a soft pink inner sleeve, wrapped in a dreamy blue Obi-strip printed with white and black, by the BAKK Fuzz Factory.

On November 26th, we are happy to unveil the sixth in our annual series of collaborations with friends and Amsterdam streetwear icons Patta. This year's drop features six items of clothing and a compilation with new music from upcoming Netherlands producers Animistic Beliefs, RAFF, Zohar, upsammy and Ranie Ribeiro & Darling. Vinyl copies are available only with each merchandise item from the collection, and digital copies can be pre-ordered only from Bandcamp.

The focus here is on exciting emerging talents from our home country, and first up is Dekmantel regular and unconventional soundsmith upsammy with the hiccuping rhythms and refracted melodies of 'Translucent Edges.' Clone employee and exciting next gen talent RAFF follows with the drilling bass and funky drums of 'Disparate Fragments', enigmatic Safe Trip associate Darling layers up hyperspeed kicks and soothing melodies on 'Japanter' and Amsterdam's foremost low frequency and heavy bass specialist Zohar brings real menace on 'Minor Discomfort.' Spellbinding Rotterdam live duo Animistic Beliefs weave dark and mangled synths into their industrial-techno offering 'Save Are Islands', while Ranie Ribeiro (fka D. Ribeiro) brings his harp playing skills, soul-driven keys and live percussion to the bright, bristling and broken beats of closer 'Junee.'
