Werfol debuts on BAKK with a stunning and diverse four tracker. Originally from Kaliningrad, Danil Inyushkin cooks up his meticulous electro with a dash of trap inspired sounds and a sprinkle of Avantgarde techno. 'How ideal it would be to live inside your imagination', he thought to himself. He'd always found escape inside his own head, he'd dream up strange worlds and unrealistic situations that stimulated him far more than reality and daily life ever could. Perhaps he'd be better off there, creating his own perfect world full of the things that brought him joy and happiness and ridding it of the things that brought him down. 

Electric Shapes continue their busy schedule with an EP from Auren, a new addition to their ever-growing roster. Aptly named Electrically Shaped, the release is made up of four tracks that could soundtrack dark nights at the club or huge grandiose spaces. Its cinematic and atmospheric, matching rumbling bass lines and breakbeat rhythms with chopped and screwed vocal samples.

In roughly two thousand years from now, when civilization has been devastated by human insatiability, few people remain. Their life is elementary and rough. They dearly miss lost knowledge. Vaguely they sense that their language is somewhat twisted. Its meaning must be painfully guessed. All their attempts to capture the true facts of their existence are in vain: The world is just secrets and enemies. The past feels like a grim, reverberant echo of loose imaginations.

Riddley Walker (1980) is an experimental science fiction novel by Russell Hoban. It inspired “Riddleyspeak”, the eighth release of Comfortnoise, written and produced by new-dot-com. five not entirely familiar club and sound system tracks: breakbeat influenced, techno leaning, and bass-heavy.

20/20 Vision’s was founded on the idea of ‘perfect sight’.  We wanted people to have a clear vision of music. A big part of that musical vision was our influences from the origins of Electro music - from the original Electro Pop pioneers Kraftwerk and Yello to more experimental laboratories of Raymond Scott, Tomita, Wendy Carlos and the BBC Radiophonic workshop. We also loved the next wave of Electro from Detroit brought by Juan Atkins and Cybotron. All the early 20/20 Vision output was produced at Farmhouse Studios by Carl Finlow, who went on to record as Random Factor, Voice Stealer and Silicon Scally. Now that output is regarded as classic Electro. It now seems like a great moment again to dive back into the deep and find the next generation of electro artists…

Welcome Chris Roman aka 214 with the 'Ingalls Way’, a record filled with the kind of creativity and production skills we have become accustomed to with his music over the years. After previous outings on electro institutions Frustrated Funk and Central Processing Unit, 214 now appears for the first time on 20/20 Vision. From the atmospheric tones of ‘Potential Events’, the manic energy of ‘Windeye’ and the deeper grooves of ‘Back To Sine’, it’s an EP that leaves no stone unturned in the intergalactic sonic quest. 

On remix duties we have none other than Keith Tenniswood aka Radioactive Man, who also makes his first appearance on the label. Along with his work as Two Lone Swordsmen with Andrew Weatherall, Keith and his Radioactive output is generally regarded in the upper echelons of British electronic music and we’re really excited to have him feature on the label.

214 - Windeye (Radioactive Man Remix)

MR TC and Lo Kindre set the tone for their new label with a chugging synthesis of cold wave electronics and motifs from similarly hard to place genres. An exercise in slo-mo alchemy.
