Love Injection is a New York music and culture monthly fanzine in print since February 2015, founded by DJs, archivists, and audio enthusiasts Paul Raffaele and Barbie Bertisch. Their namesake record label launched in 2020. Avid record and audio enthusiasts, Paul is also an art director and Barbie writes and performs music with various projects.

Texas-born, Brooklyn-based producer/deejay fleet.dreams has got the touch; a carefully cultivated craft for dancefloor productions that has provided some of the more uniquely enjoyable American house music in recent memory. fleet.dreams released his debut 12” fleet.magic in 2018 via Washington DC institution PPU records that Resident Advisor praised as “woozy, R&B-inflected synth-funk that could have been released anytime during the last 25 years.”

Fresh off a two year stint in Detroit regularly studying sets from local masters such as Rick Wilhite, Norm Talley, Marcellus Pittman and Dez Andrés, fleet.dreams made his way east, landing in NYC just as the city was falling into pandemic lockdown. May 28th marked the release of Return of the Dreamer — fleet.dreams’ meditation on the simple joys of house bliss through four effortless east coast garage house grooves that go down with ease and bring to mind everything from the Italo House heights of DFC Records, the Balearic house purity of Don Carlos, and the lush beauty of Glenn Underground, Kerri Chandler, and Pal Joey. The second release on the producer’s newly minted Leopard Cage imprint — Return of the Dreamer is a wildly confident follow up, balancing floor-ready grooves with a distinctly deep sense of spiritual house meditation.

Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors. The monthly party's intention is to bring New York City's dance music scene back to what it was during the golden era of NY nightlife. They aim to spread the music that has been influential to them, and share it with a younger generation of their peers.
