"On this 6-track album, the musical world of Golden Ivy comes full circle as he introduces these seemingly different elements to each other. On one hand, there is the cold precision of programmed rhythms pulsing through the base layers: echoes of the urban industrial cityscape in which it functions. On the other hand, the sliding howls across the strings of the violin reaches much further out into the wilderness. And still - melded together - they manage to convey a feeling of “home”.

Taking inspiration from the fourth world concept of Jon Hassel, Ivar finds a delicate path where influences of folk music from various cultures can be captured and contained within a modern frame of mind. The violin and flute are present throughout the album like a red thread. Perhaps they are the perfect instruments to capture the melancholy, isolation and beauty of being alone with nature, and of being home in oneself.

But there’s also Ivars jovial sense of humour that peers through, for instance on the pirate fantasy of “Long John Silver” or the jittery bounce of “Game Vän”. Oddball touches of lefthanded debauchery pass by here and there, but the focus remains on simplicity and repetition. The compositions are focused and tightly harnessed to the rhythms which carry them. "

We’re deeply grateful for this special collaboration and are happy to have the possibility to share it with all of you as we believe that a combination of different styles of art leads our senses to expand, feel & see the whole picture within. ANDI's cover art is „Faith“ of Radkas series „12 gifts“ which mirrors the message and intention his heart beats for.

On his previous album for Malmö Inre - Monika - Ivar Lantz promised us the width of the Scandinavian forests within reach. With this new album, again under the guise of Golden Ivy; a new chapter of that same tale is laid forth. Truly siblings born from the same creative flow, they both stand alone from Lantz’s previous musical endeavors and together to support each other. 
 
Kläppen is an epic mellow experience for both the body and the mind. An almost family friendly record for the home stereo system, and yet quietly but daringly explorative of the avant-garde terrain. 

While the title is identical to an actual place on the map, don’t let that fool you. The word itself is an old Swedish way of describing a hilltop, and can still be heard in local talk to this day. But in the context of this album, it is essentially an imagined place. And it’s important that we all have a place like this to go to. A place where our theta waves oscillate in the right rhythms. With his violin and flute, Lantz have found the right tools to harness these rhythms and carve them into sound waves, guiding us there. Kläppen is, alas, both the trip and the destination.

6 months after releasing the first episode of its compilation tapes, Lyon-based label Bamboo Shows is about to deliver the second chapter of the series, featuring 14 artists on a 90-minute cassette to promote audio sophrology, 90’s reminiscences, psychedelic atmospheres and tribal breaks.

Once again, head-honcho @erevandj aimed to present a distinct yet complementary vibe on each side, leaving the exotic and ecstatic atmosphere of the BST001 for a more introspective and darker curation.

Including poetic and melancholic productions from Italian Lamusa II, Swedish Golden Ivy, English Wåveshåper (one of the many projects of Greg Hunter), Russian Misha Sultan, Spanish Entten, German Airchina and local talent Vague Imaginaires, the A-Side highlights dreamy new age, delicate neo-folk and ethereal kosmische-kraut, considerably inspired by the 70s-80s wave.

Yet, this gentle path drawn by the A-Side will slowly lead the listener to some more percussive, tribal and dubby materials as the B-Side shows a twisted and wild tension, aroused by gloomy works from Lyon gems Jonquera & HLM38, Venezuelan Bear Bones, Lay Low, German Vector Trancer, Serbian Andria, British Angel Hunt & Lou Venturini, and will perfectly come to an esoteric end with the closing track by Komodo Kolektif.

Concurrently with this limited release of 150 cassettes, the label is reissuing 50 copies of the BST001, Featuring renowned RAMZi, Niklas Wandt, Star Searchers' Spencer Clark, DJ Ungel & DJ Rasputin and local heroes Eiger Drums Propaganda, Christian Coiffure, Jacques Satre or Lastrack.

& also a limited edition-series of black or white T-shirts with artwork from Dima Rabik to celebrate or collaboration with the Russian Artist on this second release.

In this volume I invited my beautiful sister Hannah Cunha share some words to help guide you into your practice and into infinity. Hannah is an amazing human, yogi, and yoga instructor, famous for her wise words in her yin classes. Here are the words that she had to share for us in this episode:

"Notice the breath

Allow the breath to awaken what is often a dormant sense of curiosity we have when it comes to the body

The body now becomes our direct portal to presence

As the breath continues to move the body, what we do matters less than what we notice

Allow breath and curiosity to keep you bound to what can’t be seen

Layer by layer, breath by breath, we’re guided in, in the form of a slow unravel

Embodied movement asks the question: how much of myself is here right now?
