S-Man featuring GTO '2 Close' is the new single from Roger Sanchez's classic pseudonym that debuted back in 1994 via Time 2 Stop on legendary UK house label, Hard Times. 

2 Close comes as an original mix with a S-Man club mix. Both versions capture the dark, driving house thats been his signature style for two decades, but reflect exactly where S-Man is in 2014. Remixes from Leftwing & Kody and Jimpster complete the package. 

Sanchez returned under his S-Man guise earlier this year with the release of 'Dangerous Thoughts', the deep, percussive house track championed by Pete Tong on Radio 1, Tensnake, Huxley, Dubfire, Aeroplane, DJ Zinc, Mike Mago, Andy Cato, Riva Starr, Todd Edwards, Zdar/Cassius and many more. 

The first release on his new label UNDR THE RADR, the track came with remixes from G-house stars, Amine Edge & DANCE, and Man Without A Clue.

Jesse Bru first emerged in 2013, but has recently increased his output with material landing on labels like Axe On Wax, Egoplanet and MSLX. Focusing on the soulful shades of deep house, Bru's sound leans toward the nostalgic realm of sample-based productions, yet with a modern and refreshing touch. Now with a solo EP on Blaq Numbers he further showcases the captivating rhythms that he continues to expand upon.

Back to it, Banoffee Pies Records drop their sixth digital compilation continuing to explore their previously vinyl only back catalog and recompiling tracks from a range of series and sub labels. Toma Kami, Man Band founder and rising producer with recent releases on the likes of Livity Sound,  opens up with the swirling percussion and building off kilter breaks in “Rivershells”. More additions from the original series include FYI Chris’ robot fueled floor cut “Synthetic Jungle” and pad heavy “Albino Turtle” from Berlin's’ Ron Wilson, head at 777 recordings. The release is sliced together with minimal house tracks from the Black Label Series from label OG’s Christian Jay, with his seamless deep garage sound, and  Lysnna Records own Adam Stromstedt, with broken beats and sampled gems on “Rhotic” and “Rent”. Jad & The joins the label on the A1 with a slow mo meditation full of warm pads and a string of broken beats on “X-Treme Drum”. The A2 comes from Lehults head chef, Lucky Charmz, with a 150bpm drum and bass inspired electro cut. Rolling low subs with a UK feel. Something different.

The B side invites Sid Quirk, who recently featured on BP009 under other alias Keppel, this time with his 88bpm haunting original vocals, packed between dark percussions and twisted soundscapes on “B_F L_R”, on the Hessle feel. Closing up the release, the B2 welcomes back Filip Szostak to the fold, this time bringing a drum heavy breakbeat DJ Tool that closes proceedings with energy and a suited transition for shifting moods on the dance floor.
