It’s no longer news to anyone that Australian electronic music propelled itself to international spotlight in recent years. There is an infinite array of up and coming talent emerging from down under. Amongst them are the dynamic duo of DJ Sarah and Georgia Bird, known as In2stellar, whose collaboration started in 2017. 

Their energetic sets influenced by 90s dance music, fusing gritty breaks, UK bass and proggy bass lines are a candid insight into their true selves that we are pleased to discover through this insightful conversation.

Everything is a trope

Vinyl only live recording from my dantz festival performance. Played before inspirarional souls Lena Willikens, DVS1 & Blawan, humbled to have been part of this!

For this special warmup I tried to explore some places apart from my usual hipnotic/deep techno narrative. My goal was to show local people there is a lot to discover within electronic music, knowing there was gonna be an intense long techno journey after my performance. Felt it was the ideal place to take some risks :)

The monthly show hosted by @katharina-davids is returning with guest @nee-le

Leipzig-born Neele grew up influenced by punk and hardcore and the wild bunch of the infamous Conne Island crew in Connewitz, a club she eventually became a booker of. One of Leipzig’s most versatile DJs, Neele is now a resident of the Leipzig institution Institut für Zukunft. She remains a political activist and a key figure in Leipzig’s feminist scene, particularly as a founding member of the G-EDIT crew. Behind the decks she fears no genre limitations, never losing control nor falling into triviality. Her trademarked sound is energetic, bass-driven and UK inspired, taking in all manners of House, Techno, Acid and Electro. The type of DJ that can fire up a dancefloor at any given moment of the night.
