#8 Guru Nanak Dev Ji is named | Sri Nanak Prakash (Suraj Prakash) English Katha

Baba Kalu Ji is unsure why his newly born son was named Nanak and wants him to be named such that he is recognised as a Kshatriya. Pandit Hardyal explains that the name came to him from his dhur (root) after deep meditation. It is such a unique name that Hindus, Muslims and the whole world will bow down to Nanak. Baba Kalu Ji as an accountant for the region is keen to have Guru Ji learn maths too so they can work in the same field. At 5 years old, Guru Ji goes to Their first teacher, Gopal Pandha, who teaches maths. On the first day, Guru Ji learns very quickly and so the next day Guru Ji is taught separately. Gopal Pandha tries to teach Guru Ji and Guru Ji asks the deepest questions back.
