Even when we feel lonely, those true friends do exist when we open our eyes, and if we search deep, we'll see that it's the Guru shining through them. Bhai Mardana Ji, Guru Nanak Dev Ji's best friend, refuses to listen to Guru Ji and has given up. He feels so defeated with his hunger that he doesn't feel he deserves to be around his friend and asks to leave the Guru. Guru Ji teaches us about the experiences of Draupadi, for us to learn from and use to reflect on our lives. Draupadi is being publicly humiliated, but nobody from her worldly relations that she thought would save her stepped up. So she prayed to the Creator when she lost hope in others.

"Sri Nanak Prakash is a detailed historical account of the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It was written by Mahakavi (great poet) Bhai Santokh Singh Ji in 1824 (AD), and represents one of the most comprehensive and beautifully written accounts of Guru Ji’s life. It is usually associated as a part of the greater text known as Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth (aka Suraj Prakash) which details the historical accounts of all 10 Guru Sahibs in poetic form. It is an ocean of bliss, knowledge and experience. It is said that if one listen to the history of the lives of all 10 Gurus through these texts with complete devotion and faith, they can reach enlightenment.
