BSC002’s debut EP from 9TRANE came shattering through with an installment of hard, stripped back UK Techno and Bass with great response from the community. Basilica now moves deeper and darker into the realms of heavy and complex percussion based dance music, with this instalment, BSC003.

Coming from Australia, Basilica’s newest family member - Lithe.

Lithe is quickly rising the ranks with a signature style combining complex hardware percussion rhythms creating rolling and sharp grooves layered with dark techno ambiences and spaces.

The Not a Pessimist EP is a journey of intensity, rise and fall and journey. The pace of each track is set from the get go yet as each piece progresses you find your body moving, changing and rising and falling with each subtle element added and taken away so smoothly it hits you on a subconscious level. Lithe’s sharp and relentless percussion work engulfs you with push and pull, energy, space and power and, in turn, transforms the listener by hypnotically grooving through the flawless percussion, combinations and strength.

Lithe's work has gained attention and support from labels such as Early Reflex, Flodoa and Enhancer. Expect to see much more of Lithe both in Australia and worldwide.

Craquages Collectifs is the crazy project of the three troublemakers ergen101, Meli Mena and BisouBisou, which aims to help the victims of the 'metro-work-dodo' system by creating spaces where they can freely express everything that everyday life prevents them from letting out. Driven by a mad ambition to establish themselves as key players on the Parisian Bass and Break scene, they called on a hand-picked selection of the scene's flourishing artists for their very first Various Artist. The compilation, featuring 11 club weapons with both mystical and incisive vibes, reflects the eclecticism dear to the Craquages project. 

Among these tracks lies french DJ and producer Qant's gem : ‘Tha Message’. Taking pleasure in sweeping through the tempo range in their dj sets from quite a long time, Qant noticed the struggle to bridge the gap between 140 and 160bpm. They made it a mission to fill this void by producing homemade tunes that would both address this issue and allow themselves to explore furthermore the crafting of breakbeat tracks below the standard 160 bpm. ‘Tha Message’ is one of these tracks, a love letter to hardcore junglism completed with pitched up hip hop samples and rave stabs, driven by a good old four to the floor beat and relying on a meaty sub bass for days.

Besides their contribution to Craquages’ compilation, they're more exciting news from Egregore Collective label manager : they're co-launching a new label called Trajectoire with french producers navigating the hardcore music continuum and self-releasing their first LP, ‘Oceans’, later this month, where they explore new atmospheric realms and tell the tale of a journey through a quest for identity.

The very nature of being human allows us
to hear and perceive multiple sounds at the same time. Indeed, our ears were designed to receive and analyze various auditory stimuli simultaneously. Through percussive and compulsive rhythmic patterns, baransu creates a dimension in which our sense of hearing is continuously stimulated. Strong dynamics and analog synths accompany in a clear but never dominant way the live drumming session. Sometimes glitchy, sometimes extremely spacious and experimental, this track helps
the listener to explore the potential of human hearing and its limits. The sound experience
is further enhanced by the additional work of two exceptional remixers. Katatonic Silentio interpretation of IS builds up to an atmosphere of uncertainties and unknowns, which keeps the listener on the edge till the end. Similarly, the English producer Pessimist makes the track his own by giving to it a more club oriented imprint that moves away from the feeling of spaciousness of the original, and rather it winks at the genre of jungle.
