I decided to stitch together some of my recent favorites on a whim the other day. Playing whatever felt good and testing out a few mix techniques. The result was set I really enjoyed.  A mix of techno, breaks, dnb and halftime come together in this set. Fresh releases from @akuratyde / @modernconveniences  along with some of recent favorites from @skeemask-music

Due to all of the top tier 'audiophile' tracks in this one, I reached out to my buddy @nikosound to apply his mastering treatment to preserve the nuance of these great tracks.  Be sure to check out his stuff on soundcloud.

Greg Cordo, a.k.a. Bassarid, is a Charlotte, NC based DJ known for taking his audience on a journey through worldly downtempo, funky minimal house, and deep/melodic techno. His sound also draws influence from jazz, hip hop, jungle, dub, ambient, and bass music, and his multi-genre sets seamlessly weave these complementary, and sometimes contradictory elements into a unique, handcrafted story, finely-tuned to fit the setting at hand.

Originally from Boston, he first began running music and lights for private parties in 2010. After moving down to Charlotte, he was adopted by a group of old school ravers and DJs who brought him to his first Burning Man event. Hooked on the underground sound, Greg soon found himself behind the decks at regional events. He has since played burns and festival stages from Michigan to Miami, in addition to throwing parties with the ChEM Lab crew in Charlotte.
