This Juno-nominated band led by maestro of North Indian percussion, Ritesh Das, has released seven albums that first brought the popular North Indian drum into mainstream Canadian music. The TTE's original music has been used in numerous films and commercials, and in 2003 the Ensemble was commissioned to create the current theme music for CBC Radio’s daily morning show, Metro Morning.

Treeotica is a percussive instrument. It is an amplified tree branch that is hooked up to a guitar FX peddle. Attached to it are cello and guitar strings, 10 second re-recordable voice module, and a windup music box. Each sound composition is one uninterrupted single track - an unknown, melodic sound exploration composed in the moment. "Anticipate You and I” is Treeotica’s Sound Story anthology. Ten electric and eclectic, trippy and quirky, percussive Sound Stories expressed through a tree branch.  www.treeotica.me 

The Music Gallery is a centre for promoting and presenting innovation and experimentation in all forms of music, and for encouraging 
cross-pollination between genres, disciplines and audience. 

The Music Gallery is Toronto's Centre for Creative Music, founded in 1976 by Peter Anson and Al Mattes of the free-improvising group, CCMC. Since its inception, the Music Gallery has been a publicly assisted centre for the creation, development and performance of art music from all genres.  Since 2017 the Music Gallery's performance space has been located at 918 Bathurst St.


Reggae Toronto
It's been said that out of struggle comes great art.

The musicians, singers, performers and producers that made up Toronto's Reggae music scene during the 1970's and 1980's tell this truth. Yet, as reggae reached the height of its global popularity, their music was not widely heard outside of Jamaica, and their story remained untold. This is their story.

The Reggae Toronto project is being researched in order to tell the history of Toronto's vibrant reggae scene from 1972 to 1987.
