Starting 2022 with a great artist, Aes Dana, one of the most aknowledged artist of the ambient scene and co-owner of @ultimae records

Vincent Villuis aka AES DANA is composer, sound designer, DJ and founder of @ultimae records label. An electronic activist for over 25 years, also a founding member of the Asura band.

Bass player and singer in several coldwave and industrial bands as a teenager, Vincent then moved on to composing with machines and specialised in audio sampling and layering of acoustic sounds digitally transmuted. Its music ensures a coherent fusion between Deep Ambient, Downtempo and IDM with a touch of Electronica Neo-Classical, Indus & Liquid Drum'n'Bass.

As AES Dana he has produced 7 albums, a collection of audio samples and about 50 tracks for various compilations, while collaborating with the Swedish artist Magnus Birgersson (aka Solar Fields) under the moniker H.U.V.A. NETWORK on 3 albums and with the Greek artist MIKTEK on 3 EP releases gathered later in the concept album « Far & Off ». They also worked together on the “Fragments 01 & 02” sample libraries. His solo-designed music library «Aethers» (co-published with Loopmasters) which was voted « best Cinematic Ambient sound bank » in 2015.

He composed scores and licensed existing works for short and feature films, documentaries and BBC tv programs such as « Atrophy Bank » by Sam Asaert, « The Passport » by Amund Lie, « Mandorla » by Roberto Miller or « Breath of Life » by Susan Kucera which opened new perspectives on composition and sound design and collaborations with various advertising agencies.

He is also the curator of the Fahrenheit Project compilations. As head of the Ultimae Studios, he earned a solid reputation for his Audio Mastering works & Sound Design.
He also is working on several projects in parallel: remixes, scorings & special projects.
His second collaborative album with Miktek is in progress and will be released in 2022.
A collaborative album with the Danish artist Lauge is also in progress.

Tenney suggested that For Ann (rising) be "regenerated" using the golden ratio (phi - 1.618...) for the minor sixth between partials, this is a version I recently did in PD using that ratio. For the 1992 CD, we used a ratio of 1.6.

On July 26, 2023, under the Portuguese night sky, Christian Samsara performed a spellbinding three-hour set at The Gardens stage of the Boom Festival. Crafting a sonic journey that seamlessly blended Ambient, Downtempo, and Deep Techno genres, his set was characterized by its atmospheric textures, intricate rhythms, and carefully curated track selection.

It was recorded, mastered at the Ultimae studios and can now be played on Soundcloud. Enjoy !

We are over the moon to welcome the enigmatic MARMO to our still little yet ever-expanding Introspective Electronics family. MARMO is a deeply emotive improvisatory collaboration between London-based sound artist and curator Christian Duka and Bologna-based visual artist and producer Marco Maldarella who is also the wizard behind Introspective Electronic's sumptuous visual identity ✨🔮✨

This chapter was improvised and recorded exclusively for Introspective Electronics and features only unreleased original material. We are so grateful that Christian and Marco have shared this incredible new work with us. It is a cruise through lush ambiances, rich textures, hypnotic rhythms and melancholic harmonies inhabiting someplace between waking life and dreams. An acute sense of tactile intimacy and deep introspection emerges as the air particles vibrate with an abundant spectrum of emotions. Swells and plateaux of sounds move like breath entwined in the fragile existence of life itself.
