The Mary Onettes have long held an important role in the world of Scandinavian pop - their music decidedly more overcast than their contemporaries. Based in Gothenburg, a city typically associated with sunnier material, The Mary Onettes trade in darker fare rich with drama and melancholy.

Having released multiple albums on Stockholm's esteemed Labrador label, the band moves to Cascine for their new single, Ruins, which features the guest vocals of Selebrities' front-woman, Maria Usbeck.

Calm Down is Bathe Alone's 4th single and will appear on her upcoming LP "Last Looks" coming this 2020. Calm Down showcases the faster side of Bathe Alone's discography, with guitar solos and drums that never quit. The song is lyrically about panic attacks and how mental health can plague everyday life. The instruments themselves metaphorically sound like what a panic attack feels like, with the guitar solos descending just to ramp back up again. The outro of the song showcases what it feels like to finally calm down as Bathe Alone brings the listener along with her into a sense of peace.

Some Knots Are Hard To Untie

Bathe Alone is the dream-pop moniker of multi-instrumentalist Bailey Crone. Taking shape in Atlanta, her haunting approach to songwriting and delicate vocal deliveries often draw comparisons to Beach House, Widowspeak, and The xx.

Growing up with a formal background in classical music, Crone first burrowed her way into the Peach State's indie scene as a teenager. She picked up drums, guitar, and bass early on, where she eventually discovered a distinct identity and connection to each instrument. With a drumming vocabulary more akin to the punk world and ambient guitar drenched in delay, the foundations for Bathe Alone were starting to crystallize.

After tinkering and fine tuning her sound even further, Crone enlisted the help of producer Damon Moon — who immediately recognized an untapped potential in the project. Within months they completed what would become Bathe Alone's debut LP, Last Looks. The 2021 album quickly caught fire and received praise from publications like Under The Radar, DittyTV, and more. Recently the team finished her sophomore full-length, Fall With The Lights Down — due out this summer via Kansas City label The Record Machine. With eyes fixed towards the future, Bathe Alone has a lot to look forward to.
