WINTI DANSI 

WINTI is a spiritual belief which lives under the six ndyuka tribes in Surinam. The dancers prepared their bodies with herbs and are therefore able to dance through the fire. While doing the WINTI DANSI, it is possible for the dancer to go into a trance. The WINTI DANSI is only performed on special occasions. 

This mix is recorded with a closing state of mind. Powerful rhythmic tracks which connects me to my KRAKTI (Powerful) culture. Searching for a bit more edge while keeping consistent rhythms. A bit faster than the other NDYUKA podcasts but never fast for the sake of being fast. 

Just like a WINTI DANSI i love it when people not just hear the music but really feel it. To a point where you could close your eyes and connect with the smallest details without any effort.

NDYUKA podcast will always be rhythmic and cultural inspired. With this mix here i emphasized the power of the low-end rhythms alongside mysteriousness and some deeper sections to switch up moods but never lose energy.

☆ Terry Aronis, one of Durban's finest exports, long-lived and played between Durban, Joburg and Cape Town. He is a resident at TOYTOY. He now resides in the inner city of Johburg, South Africa. A regular guest at leading nightclubs and festivals around the country. He draws inspiration from hip hop and liquid electronics with a focus on emotive and esoteric music that can shift a listener's perception, which he regularly achieves behind the decks. Well known for his organic groove, Terry selects music that is instantly recognisable as his own. He is able to get a dance floor bouncing and moving through space and time with subtle shifts in rhythm and grooves.

☆ Hailing from South Africa, Illing holds a residency at the renowned Johannesburg based Techno party TOYTOY, held at And Club. She’s known for playing forward thinking, underground party music at various clubs and festivals across South Africa. Her style includes raw, driving basslines to energetic, intriguing hi-hats and offbeat rhythms that take listeners on a captivating journey with each set she plays. During the week she runs a DJ school from And Club called Stoke. This space gives up and coming DJs the opportunity to gain first hand experience learning how to DJ in one of the countries top clubs. The course brings together like-minded individuals who have a passion for music and learning about the electronic dance music industry culture.

Experiencing Marrøn's 9-hour set at the AND Club was truly unforgettable, creating an electric atmosphere with his rhythmic consistency and engaging energy that kept everyone on the dance floor until sunrise. The seamless flow and intense focus he brings to his performances, combined with the professionalism of the Underground Africa team and the supportive environment of the AND Club crew, made for a magical night, especially after a year apart from Marrøn. This event was a remarkable celebration of music and community.

LO-2C is a dynamic DJ duo formed in September 2023, uniting the creative visions of 2cozy and loco.chanel. Meeting in Berlin’s vibrant techno underground, their shared passion for music sparked a friendship that evolved into an electrifying collaboration.

Known for fast-paced grooves, hypnotic tones, and bouncy basslines, LO-2C quickly made their mark on Berlin’s club circuit, playing at iconic venues like Watergate, Tresor, and RSO in 2024. Their sets embody the energy and connection that define Berlin’s underground scene.

This mix reflects LO-2C’s signature sound and the inspiration behind their performances. With hypnotic rhythms and driving basslines, they capture the essence of their booth energy and their vision of the Berlin underground, delivering a journey through the sounds that fuel their artistry.
