mx.pinky is a German DJ and producer whose sets deliver genre-bending sonic seduction. With standout appearances at Razzmatazz Barcelona, OHM Berlin, Outra Cena Lisboa, Rinse France, Body Language and Lunchbox Candy, she’s become a rising voice in Berlin’s international nightlife. A co-founder of the trans* art platform @exude_records, her work has been featured in interviews on KEXP Seattle and beyond.

Known for her sensual selections and hypnotic blends, mx.pinky brings a sense of old-school nostalgia filtered through a sharp, contemporary lens. Her sound stretches from techno, breaks and bass to electro and house, shaped by over a decade of digging, mixing and collecting vinyl. Her own productions are bass-driven and percussive, with a raw edge influenced by her background in metal. Recent releases include “Riot” on Moss On A Stone alongside JakoJako and Sepehr, and “Want Me” on La Casita Berlin’s Pink Star 01.

This mix is a live recording from her set at Transtronica Festival in Hamburg—the first trans-centred festival in the world, with a focus on transfem artists and the legacy of trans women in electronic music. It’s a deeply personal journey, reflecting her own transition and emotional evolution. Many of the tracks have lived in her record bag for over 12 years—records tied to private moments, early gigs, and long nights mixing at home. Playing them in this setting gave new life to old memories and marked a powerful step from closeted past to proud, present self. James Lotion is a Berlin-based DJ known for genre-bending sets that bring playful, sexy, and unapologetically queer energy to the floor. Blending house, techno and offbeat club sounds, his selections are all about joy, expression, and emotional release.

In 2014 he founded @sweatrave, a queer and trans DJ collective and party born in Copenhagen and now rooted in Berlin. Built on the idea of “dancefloor healing,” SWEAT creates space for queer and trans communities to feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

This mix is a gay walk through four decades of dance music—channeling the floor as a place of resistance, release, and radical joy. From iconic house anthems to contemporary club bangers, it celebrates love and community, all wrapped in James Lotion’s signature sexy sound. Whether you’re getting ready, coming down, or still dancing—this one’s for the lovers, the dreamers, and the queers who never left the floor.

For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Today they bring us the second all vinyl set of the week with @shaunjwright

Shaun J. Wright grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, falling in love with house music during their teenage years. While studying at Morehouse College in Atlanta, they honed their skills as a dancer in both the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. After earning an MA in Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, they worked in fashion in New York City, where they met Andrew Butler of Hercules and Love Affair in 2008 and joined the group as a vocalist.

In 2012, Wright returned to Chicago to focus on their solo career, teaming up with DJ and producer Alinka to launch the Twirl label and party series. As a DJ, they’ve brought their sound – often laced with live vocals – to dance floors around the world, from Sydney to Berlin to their hometown, where they’re a resident at Smartbar.

This set was recorded at home using vinyl only, with a vocal outro from Aérea Negrot & Longopus added digitally. The tracklist was inspired by warm Sunday afternoons playing in the Garten at Buttons – sunny, soulful, and full of feeling.

House music carries history. Born from resistance, it was shaped in underground spaces by Queer and BIPOC communities who needed somewhere to let themselves be free from the oppressed world they were living in. Some of my favourite tracks come from the late 80s and 90s, not just because of the production but because of the soul and passion behind them. These were tracks made with heart and purpose and this mix is rooted in that legacy.

The mix opens with a tribute to the AIDS epidemic with an acapella from the Latour “People Are Still Having Sex track followed by a homage to ballroom culture, both were pivotal to the history of dance music and the spaces we find joy in today. I often use samples from queer archives, not just for nostalgia but to  honour those who came before us.

Many of the tracks I chose are deeply personal, tied to special moments with loved ones or flashbacks to being on the dancefloor. I want this mix to be a bridge between generations: a reminder to the younger ones, especially those of us who benefit from the freedoms that were fought for, to educate ourselves on where this culture comes from. The fact that we can do what we do today is not by chance.

While it’s reflective this mix is also a love letter to the future, a reminder that we don’t just chase the future, we carry it with us.

Lunchbox Candy is a space where people of all ages across the queer spectrum come together and celebrate. This Pride, I hope we continue to treat each other with respect and care. Queer people already face enough from the outside world, our community should be a place of love, not harm.

Let’s never forget the importance of queer dancefloors, especially in times like these, they are sacred!

For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Opening this special week is their resident @alisonswing with an all-vinyl mix.

Alison Swing is a DJ with a natural, honest style shaped by her roots in the LA warehouse scene. As co-founder of Dig Deeper, her parties and sets helped shape a decade of underground dance music in downtown Los Angeles. Since relocating to Berlin seven years ago, she’s become a regular at some of the city’s most exciting events, including her debut at Panorama Bar and a residency at Buttons. With a warm, uplifting sound and a keen ear for tracks that connect, she’s played over 30 countries, bringing her joyful take on club music to dance floors around the world.

This mix was recorded at her flat in Kreuzberg on a sunny morning before the summer heat kicked in. It features a bunch of new records picked up during recent crate-digging trips to Japan, Mexico and New York. It’s a playful, sassy selection, full of the quirky energy that reminds her of Buttons – and the freedom to be completely herself on the dance floor.

DJ NORTHERN is a queer femme artist from the UK now based in Berlin. A passionate vinyl digger with a love for turntablism, her sets are full of energy and raw, hands-on feeling. She’s a co-founder and resident of the Berlin-based FLINTA party series @garage-girls and FACILITATE, and also has a residency @qs1studio.

This mix leans into her harder side – a Techno-forward set with a healthy dose of attitude. As always, a bit of Speed Garage found its way in too. It’s giving cunty Techno meets gay Garage – tough, playful, and totally her.

Dirty Daddy Don is also the organiser behind the long-running transsexual dungeon party @dumpparty. Known for sets that lean into the darker, dirtier corners of the dance floor, his sound moves from horny house to seductive techno – always delivered with a filthy track selection and zero shame.
