Now based in Berlin, turntablist and producer quest?onmarq is known for her genre-defying versatility. She’s regularly called upon for speciality sets, effortlessly shifting from Black Metal to her wide-ranging tastes in Techno. With a deep love for music history and an unmatched ear for selection, quest?onmarq is a true wildcard in the DJ scene.

This mix captures quest?onmarq’s groove-driven side, reflecting the influence Berlin’s energy has had on her strictly Techno sets. Recorded in one session, she recalls leaving the studio to find people vibing in the hallway, listening through the door. The mix is a snapshot of her evolving sound, driven by both her love for digging and the inspiration she draws from the city.

Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Annē began her music career in 2012 and has since emerged as a rising talent in the world of techno. Fully committed to her craft as both a DJ and producer, she transitioned from being a passionate raver to a driving force in her country’s techno scene, delivering a uniquely experiential approach to music.

Annē’s DJ sets are high-energy and dynamic, crafted to create seamless connections with her audience. In her productions, she draws inspiration from Detroit techno and the sounds of the ’90s and early 00s, channeling her emotions into tracks that resonate deeply.

Her music has earned widespread acclaim, with standout releases on renowned labels such as Hardgroove, Symbolism, Mutual Rytm, NECHTO, CROWD, Soma Records, and Out of Place. These releases have garnered significant support from major artists, with her tracks frequently charted and played across the global techno scene.

Annē’s talent has taken her to some of the world’s most iconic clubs and events, including Berghain, Bassiani, RSO Berlin, Radion, Fuse, Fold, E1, Exhale etc. She has toured extensively across continents, performing in South America, Africa, Australia,Asia and beyond. With exciting collaborations and multiple vinyl releases planned for the near future, her trajectory continues to ascend.

Her latest record on FJAAK's label, CROWD/SPANDAU20, is making waves on dance floors, marking a significant step forward in her career. Many more releases and new collaborations are coming in the near future.

For Annē, the DJ’s role is deeply intertwined with the audience. She believes the dancer is an integral part of the musical experience, with both performer and listener contributing equally to the atmosphere. This philosophy keeps her grounded—one foot always on the dance floor, the other in the booth.

BCCO Mix Series 538: ANNĒ | BCCO x ÜBERKIKZ | International Women's Day

Under his pen name Chlär, Charles Accarisi sets forth with a full rig manifestation of techno that jolts from one trunk-rattler to the next. From his native Switzerland to his adoptive home Berlin, the potency of his sound has followed him and grown ever larger, an assertive strain of dyed-in-the-wool techno that’s groovy and layered as a mountain rock. Working over and above his standard DJ duties, across A&R, events and sound engineering, Chlär practices full-involvement in much of the music pipeline, starting with his own sound and that of new finds and ending with the music’s final dialogue in public space. He’s been keeping busy, and as half of Funk Assault, co-runner of Bipolar Disorder Rec and founder of Primal Instinct his plate’s more than full, but his just-released first full album on the latter label shows little signs he’s tiring. The Architects of Shadows explores current political and sociological themes as broad as nationalism and social atomisation, rifts that through his many roles in music, he’s working hard to bridge. The promise of that newly connected world comes alive through the primacy of his beats, looping, packed with meaning but immediate nonetheless. Bassiani Podcast 248 is an hour and a half of dizzying basslines and all encompassing loops that bear witness to Chlär’s undeniable skill as techno selector. These are future-ready beats from a techno polymath.

Based in Cologne, Redfocks has been DJing for over 12 years, blending house and techno with touches of dub and hip-hop. A regular behind the decks at venues like Amp for Endstation Sehnsucht and Fusion Club, she’s a familiar face in the local scene.

She is also an active community organiser – a member of the Wir Schwestern collective and a founder of Qties, a space for collaboration and creativity among FLINTA* artists, with a focus on neurodivergent voices. Her sets are fluid and wide-ranging, always bringing something unexpected to the floor.

This mix builds gently, featuring many of her all-time favourites along with a few recent discoveries. She aimed to create something she would enjoy dancing to, but also something that works for listening on the move.

As an autistic person, Redfocks often finds it difficult to be in club environments and rarely feels relaxed enough to stay long. Playing her own sets provides a sense of safety and calm that’s hard to find elsewhere. Having this mix released by BCCO is a meaningful moment for her.
