After German producer Wigbert’s debut LP’s release on Second State in January, industry heavyweights including Matrixxman, Mørbeck, Jeroen Search, Anthony Linell and Pan-Pot themselves share their interpretations of his work in ‘Distorted Matter Remixes' EP.
Starting off strong is Mørbeck’s version of ‘Reflection’, with a charging kick drum and heavy acid line powering the momentum. Furious cymbals and a high pitched synth line push the tempo, while a brief breakdown switches up the rhythm before cutting back into line. Up next is Matrixxman’s Labyrinth remix of ‘Automatic Loop’, a dubbed out bass heavy edit where a galloping kick drum pushes along with determination. Modular sounds tweet and intertwine with themselves, while minor chords chime in between furious sporadic cymbal crashes.
Last on the A-side are Second State label heads Pan-Pot with their edit of ‘Xcelerator’. Surrounded by a thumping kick drum and shooting snares, a distorted vocal reverberates its way throughout uttering the name of the track. Bellowing electro synths cap off this heavyweight techno roller.
On the flip side Jeroen Search delivers his version of ‘Focus’: a percussive workout with an array of different drums working simultaneously together. Mischievous synth lines are balanced by uplifting organ chords. Handclaps and cymbals build energy and anticipation before the melody takes over again. Last up is Anthony Linell's Sunday Adventure Club (S.A.C.) remix of ‘Reflection’. This slower paced track marches along to a pounding kick drum and rattling hi-hats. An ever present bass line brings weight and texture to an already heaving track. Jolting synth keys with an uplifting feel ensure that the listener is left on a high as the record pulls to a close.

Influenced Records presents release number 7, a split EP between Schimmer Records members Pøl and Hedström & Pflug. "Amnoschibai" showcases the minimalistic, drum oriented sound Hedström & Pflug are already well known for.

Tresor is glad to announce the first in a series of digital releases to celebrate Tresor’s 30th anniversary and the next generation to come: Fireground release their debut EP - Dualism.

Fireground is the collaboration of Angela and Daniele, who are predominantly known for their output of Techno and Electro via their own label R12 Records. The Napolitan duo deliver a timeless release that's expertly connecting classic Birmingham sound of the 90s and early 2000s - think Surgeon’s Tresor trilogy - with current research in Techno.

"Joy Of Life" is a real troublemaker, blending hard-edged drums and wooden percussion with classic dub chords for the absolute dance floor peak. A modern approach to a classic sound - sweet, wild and strong - for the resurgent dance floors of tomorrow.

We are pleased to present the premiere of Parano's "Fifteen" forthcoming on his "Persia EP". Part of Influenced Record's first imprint as a label, Parano takes us on a high octane, moody and rhythmical journey with an ode to mind-bending modular sequences. 

Parano is a 21-year-old, self-taught, producer from the Hague, Netherlands, who has been producing for just shy of 2 years. His artist name is Paranoid, but without id, as there is no real identity to his style or sound. Parano remains fluid with his style of production and djing, as it allows his sound to remain creative without being placed under one specific genre. Parano wishes that his true identity remains unknown.
