Ukrainian record label NECHTO introduces a new design concept with the upcoming release NECH022 by Louwave & Splinter (UA). Founded by the illustrious DJ NASTIA, NECHTO has been a torchbearer for authentic dance music. This fresh design is a testament to the imprint's commitment to evolving while staying true to the core values of the dance music community. From its very beginning, Splinter (UA) has played a pivotal role within the label by joining label nights, producing the third EP and making notable appearances on both volumes of the 'Scary Beautiful' compilation. Following his relocation from Odessa to Lviv, he embarked on a collaborative studio venture with Louwave, ultimately giving rise to their joint release. Louwave and Splinter (UA) are no strangers to the electronic music realm, each boasting over 15 years of experience in their individual careers. Their live performances stand out with their ability to connect with the audience, turning each live show into an immersive experience. ALKHEMY’s The Black Hole turns three years-old, and to celebrate, the Brooklyn-based collective has called upon some of the mightiest in the galaxy to create this dance floor-ready compilation. The 27 artists featured on this VA were invited to participate by combining their signature production styles with a Black Hole-inspired twist, to showcase a range of the world’s raviest sounds. Over a third of the participating artists have headlined The Black Hole for their US debut or NY debut, including, Scan 7, Plural (Kukri), Keepsakes, D. Carbone, 138, Axel Picodot and WarinD. Each providing a nostalgic glimpse into their respective journeys through Brooklyn’s favorite galactic rave. The remaining artists have brought forth their own unique sounds, creating an undeniably powerful collection of tracks that will leave a lasting mark on 2019.

The compilation is just as diverse as the dance floors at The Black Hole and as well as the lineups assembled by ALKHEMY. Proudly bringing artists from the US, South America and Europe together. Another example of the power that lays behind unity.

The cover art, which was inspired by the iconic flyers of The Black Hole, who are always put together by Danny Garber, was designed by Detroit legend, Alan Oldham aka DJ T-1000. Being that ALKHEMY’s mission is to highlight diversity in techno, Alan carried on the tradition of The Black Hole’s flyers where people of color and women are showcased in a powerful manner. Keeping the mastering mainly in-house, 80% of the tracks were mastered by ALKHEMY’s Buzzi.

‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ sees @Luke-Slater creating new compositions from the Ostgut Ton back catalogue, chopping, looping tweaking and deploying sounds into a mix that is both a playful retrospective of the label and future-facing vision for mixing and dance music.

On April 17, seven exclusive tracks from the ‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ DJ mix will be released on two 12”s and for streaming/digital download. De- and reconstructing the Ostgut Ton discography, Slater’s vision encompasses not only sampling but live electronics and improvisation, resulting in a broad spectrum of heady and liminal dance music: from ultra stripped-back mindfuck techno, vocals and blasts of distortion to breakbeat excursions, minimalistic acid, and rave polyrhythms. In other words: the arc of the label through Slater’s singular hallucinatory prism.
