47 reboots with a three-track EP from drum & bass artist Torn.

After a year-long hiatus, Tommy Four Seven’s label will return with fresh music from the up-and-coming drum & bass artist Ivan Karasev, AKA Torn. The release is the first in a series of forthcoming EPs that designate 47’s turn towards a continuum of club music at the vanguard of hard-edged techno and percussive drum & bass.

Following on the heels of an impeccably produced full-length for Samurai Music, Karasev delivers three fang-sharp techno-adjacent tracks for 47028. Like his recent output, this EP careens through impossibly precise broken beat rhythms that ricochet across four-to-the-floor drum patterns and diabolic drones. “Tantrum” is the most full-pelt song on the release, layering pummeling industrial kicks over searing vocal samples, while “Grief” and “Ferrum Wood” showcase Karasev’s penchant for dynamic song structures that cling and depart from a half-time rhythmic backbone. Together, the tracks mark a zenith for one of the most exciting voices on the outer edges of techno. 47028 will be available for physical and digital purchase on May 20th, 2022.

Italian-born, Prague-based DJ Ester is sort of young blood to the local scene. Her enthusiasm for electronic music brought her to play her first gig in 2018. Since then, she invites listeners along a long, dark, escalating journey that continues to evolve in her sets. Ester is mainly inspired by the sounds of EBM, industrial, 
darkwave, and post-punk, but there are no borders in her music selection. She remains in her element when playing in other areas such as dark-ambient and oriental that fill the gaps of silence in her daily life.

Uniformity is synonymous with emptiness, and the world, despite the absence of its origin, is born when the first difference arises. We can always separate the world in a binary way, by extreme categories, and thus create the origin of language, make it conceivable and, in a general way, give rise to the existence of something. Moreover, we can separate myriads of things in the world of humans, separate in a binary way,  by raducal categories  , in order to fathom the full extent of its nature; in order to understand how its nature extends from one end to the other; in order to feel the real movement thanks to the tear rip that hides behind these two directions; in order to make our way through the world which is completely overwhelmed by ignorance. Nevertheless, if two extreme categories are equally powerful, we witness stagnation, fixity and absolute immobility of balance and equilibrium, and it brings the feeling that is so familiar to us: we are petrified before a dilemma.

Heaven is in You began as an intent based project in wide ranging exploration of the world and our own being. Now defunct, ADAB once curated the Cleveland based Heaven is In You parties alongside colleague Eric Sarley (Ghost Noises) for what became locally known as a labor of love in sonic variety. The sentiment finds itself resurrected here for ADAB's monthly transmissions.

UNREALNUMBERS is a rising South Korean talent and leading role of the new techno generation in Korea. 

It was in London, the city where he grew up, that he met the underground techno scene. His industrial music production, EBM and noise stood out early during his schooling. In 2014, he started to draw inspiration from his various trips between London and Berlin to assert his sound design. The producer also manages his own label “UN LABEL CORP”, aiming for raw power on the dance floor as well as a dark and dystopian aesthetic.

UNREALNUMBERS sound palette encompasses not only intense rave tunes for the dance floor, but also subtle ambient, percussion manipulations, and delicate emotional expressions that listeners didn’t expect.

We are happy to have O.N.L for our 6th IOD podcast. Jean-Charles ONILLON, Breton native but now based in Paris, produces raw techno characterized by percussive kicks, heavy atmosphere and saturated vocals. Inspired by the current English techno scene and artists such as Perc, Blawan and Ansome, his sets evolve between a staggering and repetitive industrial techno to the fast and sharp sounds of the Dutch raves of the 90s.

The style of the Italian musician reminds the old school mixture of EBM and electro while having a modern touch, Ridley Scott's Blade Runner and James Cameron's Terminator saga
