Was so spielerisch einfach aussieht und oftmals genau so viel Erstaunen wie Erregung hervorruft, kommt nicht von ungefähr. 

Die Leipziger Lerchen gehören zu den letzen noch lebenden Discourgesteinen vergangener gloreicher Tage als Housemusic noch das war was sich heute alle wünschen.

Mit dieser Philosophie bespielt LOVEMAN nun die Floors in der Region rund um Leipzig. Im Jahre 2004 packte ihn die Liebe und Leidenschaft zu House voll und ganz und aus dem Tänzer vor dem Mischpult, wurde auch ein Tänzer dahinter. Seine ersten Erfahrungen als DJ sammelte LOVEMAN in seinem “geheimen” Wohnzimmern, dem Leipziger Nachtcafe und ehemals in der Milchbar (heute White Chocolate). Auch heute noch ist er im Nachtcafe ein gern gesehener Gast und hat seine Kunst, die Massen musikalisch zu begeistern, bis heute optimiert. In seinen Sets fließen viele Stile des House, von Club bis hin zu deepgroovenden Vocalhouse, ein und ziehen mit ihrer ausstrahlenden Wärme und Leidenschaft die Zuhörer in den Bann. Wolfgang Lohr is a Berlin based producer, composer, remixer, artist, and DJ whose career spans way back and encompasses a vast variety of different musical projects. Born in Bad Segeberg and raised in Lübeck (GER) by the Baltic Sea, where he served as a trumpeter, singer, and songwriter for the ska band “DaSKArtell” (@das-kartell).

He finally moved to Berlin in 2007 and dove right into its colorful and flourishing electro scene. Till this day he’s involved in several groups and productions, such as the Disco-House duo “DINKS” (@dinksmusik) and the Tech House outfit “Dorade” (@dorademusik), making him a mainstay of the scene who has created remixes for well known, fellow artists like Felix Jaehn, Parov Stelar, Alle Farben, The Manhattan Transfer and In-Grid.

His cover of Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack” has surpassed a total of 90 million plays and has turned Lohr into one of the most sought-after Electro Swing artists worldwide, with a catalogue that now spans about 150 own tracks and remixes.

In addition to his musical endeavors, he has co-founded a Tech House label Coast Connection (@coastconnectionrecords), the “FDF” music blog (@free-download-friday), turned House-label “FDF Records”, as well as the “Electro Swing Thing” (@electroswing) label that has become a home to the versatile cross-over genre and amplifies the voices of its artists.

Nahtlos schön sollte es sein, aber auch ein unpassend getroffener Übergang bringt ihn lediglich zum schmunzeln. Man(n) muss schließlich auch über sich selbst lachen können. Sein Moto: “Ein guter Dj ist auch ein guter Schachspieler, denn er sollte wissen was seine nächsten Züge sind!” Bis heute hat er sich dieses Motto beibehalten und lässt euch Teil eines Ganzen sein. Die Auswahl seiner Tracks ist stets dem Zeitbild angepasst. Ob in kleinen Clubs oder Festivals, versetzt er Euch in den Bann der House Music. Old-school, Deep House, Disco oder Funky House, all das, aber auch die Songs und Melodien aus den guten alten Zeiten zählt er zu seiner Sammlung.

Durch seine berufliche Ausbildung bei Panasonic / Pioneer verstehe er nur zu gut wie er mit der Technik umgehen soll. Aber seht und hört selbst!

“Caught between two worlds …” is not the most convenient place for most musicians. That, however, is where Oscar OZZ has felt most comfortable for years. Whether Deep House, Tech House, Indie Dance or Minimal: the most important thing is that it grooves, is catchy and rocks the dance floor! His gigs at the hottest clubs in the country as well as his gigs abroad in Mexico, Bolivia, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Norway etc. have also been highly praised in retrospect, just like his regular festival appearances at e.g. SonneMondSterne, Sputnik Springbreak or Summerspirit.

Every year many tracks appear, mostly on vinyl, and sweeten up – not only in this country – music lovers’ lives. Oscar’s discography is very comprehensive and includes famous productions on many different labels such as Katermukke, Material Series, Confused, Perc Trax, Superfancy, BlackFoxMusic. Oscar OZZ is also known and notorious for his edits, which are distributed to a large fan base (> 5000 subscriber) free of charge on a monthly basis through his newsletter. Songs from many artists have thus had the pleasure to be enhanced for the DJ world.

Since 2003 Oscar OZZ is running different imprints like Karatemusik, KarateKlub, Lørdag, Kol Mojito, Extrasmart, Tape Select or OZZ Records. He’s also working together with different artists like Ron Flatter, Patrick Brosin, etc. to bring up their labels like Pour La Vie or .defaultbox  to the top.  Most of the tracks were released on vinyl and digital. The complete administrative stuff, like handling with pressing plants and digital distribution and accounting is managed successfully through Oscar OZZ.
