Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars (Hardwell Remix)
Featuring several world exclusive premieres during his EDC Las Vegas set last weekend, Hardwell unveiled not just the first single (Arcadia) from his forthcoming, as yet untitled, studio album, but also his mesmerizing remix of Coldplay’s beautiful collaboration with Avicii ‘A Sky Full of Stars’.
 
Adding subtle touches, the Dutch megastar producer has succeeded in retaining the euphoria of the original, whilst giving the record a fresh progressive deepness, that sees it journey down a new, more club driven tone. Frontman Chris Martin’s voice is as dreamlike as ever, swelling alongside the song’s catchy pop-like melody, but the sprinkling of Hardwell’s signature sound gives the record another gear, transforming it into an anthemic masterpiece perfectly suited to the mainstage.
 
Personally invited by the label (FFRR/Parlophone) to remix the second single from their new album ‘Ghost Stories’, Hardwell said “I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!”

The year was 1899. The musical world was being rocked by a battle that would echo from coast to coast of the United States. Two gentlemen, The Bearded Man and Scott Joplin were head to head in a war to become the official “King of Ragtime Writers”. The two toured from saloon to saloon, banging their jams away on rickety, out of tune pianos, sweat dripping from their brows. See, most people believe that Mr. Joplin was unchallenged in this era, but that’s simply not the case. The Bearded Man was hot on his heels, and the two squared off any chance they could get. The Bearded Man released his gem “Likker’d Up”, and Scott Joplin followed with his all-time classic, “The Maple Leaf Rag”. The Bearded Man fired back with “Hookers N’ Booz” and Joplin returned in style with “Sunflower Slow Drag”. The Bearded Man was ready to wow the ladies with his latest masterpiece “The Do-Rag”, but BAM, 1902 rolled in and Joplin brought out “The Entertainer”, solidifying his role as the undisputed king of ragtime. The Bearded Man hasn’t played ragtime much since then, but when he met Mokoa & Alex Bandt, he taught them everything he knows. The result? “Find A Way”.
