No one is quite sure who the true identity of the "Legendary" Danny K is but he has been uploading chilled beats and vinylism since the mp3.com days in 1999. Although off the map recently he is starting to appear in a lot of the new social media tools available to the independent musician. I am an amateur musician living in Toronto, Canada.  I have been making music for mostly myself and friends for almost 25 years.  Most of it is electronic and rooted in hip hop, but I have a really hard time labeling and describing it to people.  "Instrumental Hip Hop" harkens too much of a mid 90s backpacker ethos, and "Trip Hop" isn't quite right and never has a positive implication nowadays.  I just make beats.  There's scratching here and there.  Sometimes I rap a little.   The tracks on this page range from 1999 to Now.

II appreciate any feedback about the stuff up here.  Good or bad, long-winded and technical or short and simple... whatever.  But if you're listening, drop a comment!  It means a lot.

I make experimental music when not swamped with life events. My sounds strive for that strange and grabbing quality that tends to come out in more known artist like Aphex Twin, Sepalcure, Infectedmushroom, Boards of Canada, and many of the talented experimental artist found on Soundcloud. Hopefully one day my sound will be a perfect synthesis of many of these aspects. I look forward to your feedback, collaborations and enjoyment.
