Now, with the creation of his new label, UNISEX Records, and his latest works Pop Works and Heroin Disco, he announces himself again as one of the most original and insightful artists working in the genre. 

Always creating music toward the values of inclusivity, radical self-expression, the strange and uncanny, Monaco stands as a powerful and positive force against the homogeneity of mainstream dance music, asking everyone to wave their freak flags high along with him.

Born in 1978, Enrico was exposed to music from the very first months of his life thanks to his father. As he grew up, he was drawn to the synth wave sounds of the early ’80s—he even stole a Depeche Mode cassette tape.

As a teenager, dreaming of the great raves of the ’90s, he bought his first DJ console along with a few vinyl records—only to end up throwing them off the roof of his house.

At 20, he fell in love with eXpander, an iconic party in Rome that, from 2001 to 2005, gave him the chance to express himself as a resident DJ in an underground and dark setting. The legendary Long Editions allowed him to live out his teenage dream of playing after-hour sets.

In 2008, he founded Corea, a multidimensional party that pushed him to express his aesthetics both as a DJ and as an artistic director, blending art with a wide musical range—from indie to dubstep.

Drawn to synthetic and electronic sounds, Enrico is deeply connected and devoted to the dancefloor. He respects its rhythms and dynamics, observing and energizing it through dynamic selections and beat variations that reflect his broad-spectrum devotion to Underground House Music.

Now in his forties, he has defined his cardinal categories: Space and Time, Matter and Form. He collects wine and vinyl for his son and to continue expressing himself through a lifelong journey of musical exploration. He has been welcomed into Fuori Luogo and Branchie—collectives he has supported and loved like his own children since their birth. They represent the ideal dimension for him to express his artistry with humility and love for the dancefloor.
