"Asteroids (The Original Was Better)" is the result of a spontaneous and fun collab between our friend and amazing musician Joe Stroffolino (https://soundcloud.com/joseph-stroffolino) and Beating Edge. Joe heard our chiptune track RND (https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/rnd-instrumental-chiptune), got inspired by it, and wrote some lyrics based on the classic arcade game Asteroids. He added his voice and acoustic guitar over it, and sent it our way.
We loved it and decided to jump in too, building a second part with a more rock-driven vibe, using the same chiptune idea as inspiration. We stitched everything together into a single track, kicking things off with a fun spoken intro, a short vocal transition between the parts, and closing with a wild, over-the-top outro.
Hope you enjoy this crazy, hybrid ride as much as we enjoyed making it! Thanks so much to everyone who gives it a listen, sending lots of love your way!❤️‍🔥

Everything Changed (But Me) is the first chapter of our brand new apocalyptic trilogy (the second part, called "Let's Die Tonight", was released on June 26 - https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/lets-die-tonight - along with the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4SFAXq_qGI).😅
The video shows a strange, purple sky filled with terrifying clouds. People are running, looking up, screaming... but we never really understand what’s going on. In the end, our guitarist wakes up from what seems like a nightmare, but she doesn’t look to her right, where the purple storm is real, outside her window. So maybe she isn’t dreaming at all. 
The song plays with two layers. One is global, unsettling, and chaotic. The other is much more personal and introspective.
The world is changing, inside and out.
Little technical side note: this song really gave us a hard time, too many incompatible gears, but we made it in the end! It should sound decent enough!

Here we are with the second chapter of our crazy apocalyptic trilogy!🌪️⚡️
In the first episode, with the song Everything Changed (But Me) [here: https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/everything-changed-but-me], we took you into a world where everything had changed: strange purple-lit skies, people running everywhere, many pointing at the sky, but no one really understanding what was going on. And in the end, it all seemed like a dream, even though the view outside the window suggested the madness was actually real.
Now, with this new track called Let's Die Tonight, things take an even crazier and darker turn. Musically, we’ve shifted from Synth Pop to Dance. It's the perfect vibe to describe a wild reality where some kind of life-force vampires are driving people insane, making them feel totally unhinged as multiple celestial bodies head straight for Earth.
We strongly recommend watching the video and sticking around until the very end. After the song, our great friend and amazing artist Carl (The Beautiful Dark - https://soundcloud.com/thebeautifuldark) shows up on screen to reveal some behind-the-scenes details and hint at where the story is headed next. And yes, with the next episode of this trilogy, we’ll go full classic metal (not necessarily the next song, though).

Sometimes life really feels like a sitcom on wheels 🚗💥.
“Just Another Day” is born from a couple of small real accidents that happened to two of us (don’t ask who 😅). Between alarms, burnt breakfasts, empty gas tanks, exploding tires and near-superhero sprints, we tried to turn the chaos into a darkly playful pop rock anthem. Because at the end of the day… it’s just another day!🤪

Arab Spring was rising, hope flickered then it cracked, Twitter storms were raging, no truth to bring us back. Bitcoin spiked and tumbled, dreams of wealth in code, Yet kids still walked to school, on a warming, winding road.

Pandemics locked our doors, masks hid every face, Zoom calls kept us tethered, but we longed for open space. Protests shook the streets, for justice long denied, Fires burned the forests, while the coral reefs died. Tesla cars were humming, drones lit up the skies, But I still see my old swing set, in my childhood's quiet eyes.

 AI learned our voices, wrote our songs and fears, TikTok spun our stories, through a blur of fleeting years. Elections split us wider, truth got hard to find, Glaciers slipped to oceans, leaving warnings far behind. But I'm still here, strumming, under stars I barely see, Whispering my small dreams, for a world that lets me be.

Inspired by someone we know really well who once dreamed of being rich and famous all around the world as a porn star 😏. Don’t worry, we’re not naming names… but this track is a nod to that wild dream (if you like this track, especially the guitar, you might find it really interesting to check out this sort of behind-the-scenes track https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/do-what-a-mess-you-like-instrumental and read the gear we used in the description 😉).
Do What You Like kicks off and closes with a couple of very convincing moans from Mary (well, maybe actually 3!) 😅, channeling her inner pornstar. And finally, she's back in the spotlight with her electric guitars! She went full pedalboard mad, filling a 40 sqm (430 sq ft) living room with pedals, EQs, and effects until it basically turned into a no-move zone! You literally couldn’t step without tripping over something.😆
This isn’t a moral lecture on porn, just a little warning: chasing something can come back to bite you later, especially if your goals change. So yeah… think twice, live loud, but keep an eye on the future.
Energetic, upbeat, punchy alt-rock with groovy bass, tight drums, fiery guitar riffs, and scorching guitar solos, with a vibe that’s equal parts garage and fun chaos (…at least we think so, we’re not really good at pinning down genres!).

🎸We are a five-piece studio band mixing different genres and influences into our own sound.

The band has existed since 2015, but we only started publishing on SoundCloud and other platforms in 2024. Many of the songs we’ve released so far are reboots of tracks we wrote years ago, in case you were wondering how we managed to release over 100 tracks in one year. Before 2024 we only published on our own blog (which is now gone, replaced by a new one we barely use), so our audience was limited to a few hundred friends and acquaintances.
We’re not professional musicians! We have other jobs, and we don’t even consider ourselves musicians, at most entertainers and awareness-raisers.
